SAT SHOPPING ♥ NEW TOM FORD MAKEUP

I didn't know what I was going to post for today. So I put it off until today and VOILA! Ruth Crilly, lovely lady of A MODEL RECOMMENDS, has this gorgeous gorgeous vid about the new TOM FORD COLLECTION for Autumn featuring Lara Stone in the upcoming campaign. Now if I was you, and I had time and cash to burn today, this is what I would be spending it on...IF this is your kind of look. I think I've graduated from red or bright lips and the other things that have been popular in the past and all I buy these days is copper, gold and sandy colors. And I've finally started liking my lips nude. It's a bit hard to get used to. This is added to my list of things to buy when I either see the novel (my novel!) online (which will be within the next couple of months) or I start a new gig (which could come before the novel is in stores/online). And I'm buying EVERYTHING. :) (PS You have to admit that Tom Ford does love love 70s Disco...a lot.)♡

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ DIOR BACKSTAGE

This isn't from the new/current shows...it's something I had meant to post a while ago and forgot about it. But it is gorgeous. It's the backstage vid' of the make up and accessories for the Dior Spring Summer 2011 collection. I think Pat McGrath is the head makeup lady here (again!). I remember Dior make up being huge as a brand way back when I was in high school. I was a solid fan of their Holiday Red lipstick and Dior mascara. The packaging was gold and midnight blue. I also used to wear Miss Dior and Diorissimo fragrances as a teen, too. Then I lost touch with the brand as far as cosmetics goes and lingered more in the YSL range and others which led me to what I love now (Becca....part 2 coming soon of my review...see part 1 here). But lately all I really want to do is buy the Dior cosmetics and skincare products as they sound like they are of the highest quality (better than Chanel...sorry, but that's how I feel) and to-die-for glamor packaging. I need an extra gig to afford an entire lot of the stuff, though, because it's very expensive. And so I wanted to show this vid because it's a good overview of what you can expect from Dior as a cosmetics brand...and what you can do.♡

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ SUNGLASSES MAKE UP

I will post part 2 of the Becca cosmetics review (part 1 is here)...but I had to do a post with one of my favorite YouTube make up gurus, Ruth Crilly of A Model Recommends (her YouTube and blog name) because this new video she just did recently is a) GORGEOUS, b) useful and c) again so gorgeous it could easily be a photo story in a magazine. Just see for yourself. She is killing it here! And yet she is so cool and real that you cannot hate her for being so damn pretty. You gotta love her. :) PS Don't forget to notice her EEK! nails...the same ones I wrote about from the Giles Deacon show last year.♡
