GIRL FRIDAY ♥ VIVIENNE WESTWOOD

I intended on posting this yesterday. But completely forgot in the midst of this busy busy week. I wish I could pop over to see this Westwood through the years show; Vivienne Westwood Shoes: An Exhibit opened on August 26th at Selfridges & Co. and runs through September 22nd. It's "a retrospective of her most iconic designs from the last 5 decades"...1973-Present...which is pretty cool if you ask me. You'll get to see the real deal from the real decade. Not a reproduction. Not a photo of a the shoe. The actual shoes. Below are some of the shoes included in the collection.♡

1993 Super Elevated Gillie
1986 Rocking Horse
1986 Rocking Horse
1986 Rocking Horse
1996 Trompe L'oiel

Mary Jane
1981 Pirate Boot. Probably her most iconic shoe ever.

kelly has an exhibit that opens tomorrow at giant robot in new york!

WEDNESDAY BAG ♥ JUN TAKAHASHI

I've been really busy lately, so I'm not getting to write how I'd want to about some of these products. I'm sorry. But that will change soon. Usually I have all my posts budgeted in advance....but it's been difficult to do that this week. Luckily I still have posts about products I'm really enthused about. Like these new supermarket/grocery shopping bags that aren't really supermarket shopping bags (they just look like it) by Jun Takahashi (brilliant) and his awesome line UNDERCOVER. He's an artist, conceptualizing and designing and I think sort of making social commentary as well as having a little laugh. His current concept is "less is more"... and with that Colette has his grocery shopping bags that come along with smaller cases/purses in the shapes of product you'd have bought from the grocery store. You can buy a set or you can just purchase a bag alone. And they cost a pretty penny, too!  (The sets are about 420 Euros, and the single bags are around 100 Euros.) Have a look! ♡

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ BUILT BY WENDY FALL

The Built by Wendy Fall 2010 Collection is awesome. I've been a fan of Built by Wendy for-like-ever. I own a lot of her clothes. Some old, some from last year. Sometimes they are a bit too pricey for what they are (sorry, but that's the truth and a lot of girls feel the same way). But then Wendy Mullin does produce some pieces you can only find in her collections. She designs for a very specific girl...a cool girl who doesn't need to try too hard but wants a little "girl" in her look. And she clearly loves to have a lot of 70s in her lines. Especially here with her colors and the Downtown boots and the length of the dresses and her knickers, which she does so well. This collection looks warm and "hot" at the same time. And I see a lot of pieces I'd like to add to my wardrobe. But then again, I should probably wear the pieces I bought from last year's fall collection first! PS Fashion Week News coming soon! ♡
