WEDNESDAY WONDER BOY ♥ MARC JACOBS

What can I say that hasn't already been said of MJ's Spring 2011 collection? That it's a dream for every girl out there? That he always creates and resurrects pieces that most women I know look for endlessly and almost never find? That the styling and everything he's showing is always on point (even if people don't get it until a million years later...Perry Ellis)?  How can I choose one look or ten looks from this collection that makes my heart truly sing? First of all, I have to own the large/high gold glitter platforms. Second, can we all admit how much we LOVE the Taxi Driver reference? The 70s nod to YSL and Missoni? The giant flowers everywhere? And, for that matter, the giant hair everywhere?!  What about the gorgeous makeup...when is he going to launch a cosmetics line??? LOVE LOVE LOVE it all! I especially also love the couple of pieces that came from his cage-y collection last year. There's not very much I can say except that I am totally stoked to be the age I am and work in fashion and be able to enjoy seeing what he'll unveil every fashion week. And I think in a way any girl can put some a look together and be an MJ girl if they really want to. Which means every girl can be really f-ing hot. I can't wait to see what the Marc line is going to look like! ♡

can't sleep...must be looking at mj's collection...AGAIN!
gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous and very YSL peasant/gypsy
Taxi Driver!
so perfectly done...
must own these gold platforms!

this reminds me of dresses my mom wore when i was super little...and the big giant flowers in the hair
the shape of this dress is soooo 70s...and flattering. it's been ages since we've seen women in this type of dress walking around.

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ STÆRK SPRING 2011

So far, most of what I've seen in the womens collections has been either conservative or safe. Or confused. It's really strange. And a lot of the collections I've been checking out also look like resort...which also confuses me. Didn't we already have resort collection week? But it's still really early in the game and I'm not saying I'm disappointed or anything. But so far the one collection that stands out a lot to me (aside from the boys) is STÆRK. A capsule collection by Camilla Stærk with interesting pieces that I could actually see a lot of my friends wearing.♡

love love this entire outfit. i can totally see myself in it and i see a lot of fast fashion copying this straight up!
so 20s/30s...but modernized. it's really a cute piece and would look awesome on a lot of girls.
a little too pulled up, but such a sweet suit for the pool or inside a skirt or some high-waisted denim bells.
i love the butterfly/kimono top. and i love the skirt. but not together at the same time.
notice the embossed faux croc pattern...this piece is amazing.
a really good look and good individual pieces...and i also like how not too much else is going on (like accessories)
could be a really good/interesting spring dress for dinner or just for the beach...right?

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ Z SPOKE BY ZAC POSEN

IT'S FASHION WEEK IN NYC! And it's nice to see some new blood and some new looks, too. I don't normally cover Zac Posen...I like most of his designs. I guess I'm over the hype maybe. Dunno. But there were a lot of looks and pieces I liked in the new diffusion collection,  Z Spoke by Zac Posen. But I am a bit confused. The pieces are nice...I love all the prints. I love some of the dresses. I love the accessories. But it does look a little mix of Miu Miu, some Marc, some Sonia and even a bit of McQ. I wonder if anyone will call him out for it. Because it's really obvious. Even if it is good looking. I especially love the peacock makeup...even if that looks a little confused, too. Most of the girls don 40's-esque 'do's while others are clearly in the 70's. It's a little all over the place, but the package looks pretty good. And, yes, a lot of those prints are awesome. ♡

looks especially gorgeous on this skin
so jerry hall/roxy music album cover
