GIRL FRIDAY ♥ PIG MAG & PRETTY HAIR

Gorgeous photos from PIG MAG...I was excited to see these (even though I really have no idea what Pig magazine is), because I've been confused about my hair recently. I had HUGE hair...a shag thing...for years and years. And I got sick of seeing it all around everywhere plus it's nice to get a new look. So I cut bangs and then recently, I cut off about 5 inches...so now it's just below my armpits, basically. But I've been missing my curly hair. UNTIL I saw these pics...especially the brunette...THIS IS MY HAIR. And I think I'm going to keep it for a while longer now. :) It's nice how inspiration finds you...♡

SHOE ME THURSDAY ♥ CACHAREL SS 2011

I have always been a huge fan of the house of Cacharel . I did interview the Eley Kishimoto duo when they were designing for the brand. But I have to say I LOVE what Cédric Charlie has done with the line. This IS Cacharel. (Yea Cedric!) And it's NOW, too. The shoes are great. Like something Phoebe Philo would do. Wearable, like your everyday run-around sandal. And the colors...a dream of citrus day-glo and blush-blush. And the bags were amazing, too.(By the way, I do have some cool things coming up. I've just been exhausted with insomnia! And running around to meetings. But good stuff coming soon. Thanks for reading. x)♡

such a great heel. this shoe would make the sloppiest jean/t-shirt combo look high street.
great bags.
especially this color combo.

WEDNESDAY BAG ♥ STEAMPUNK @ LANVIN

From Wikipedia:
Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s.[1] Specifically, steampunk involves an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century and often Victorian era Britain—that incorporates prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology or futuristic innovations as Victorians may have envisioned them; in other words, based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, art, etc. This technology may include such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne or real technologies like the computer but developed earlier in an alternate history.
Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of "the path not taken" for such technology as dirigibles, analog computers, or such digital mechanical computers as Charles Babbage's Analytical engine.
Steampunk is often associated with cyberpunk. They have considerable influence on each other and share a similar fan base, but steampunk developed as a separate movement. Apart from time period and level of technology, the main difference is that steampunk settings tend to be less dystopian.

That said...interestingly enough, I did a little something on some steampunk bug jewelry in my Green Bling post...check it out. Some amazing pieces. This Lanvin Spring Summer 2011 collection had so much cross over of nature and technology...in a very steampunk style. Not sure everyone got it. But I'm sure the people who are familiar with it saw it right away like I did. (That, and some of the bags were amazing, too.) Let's have a look...♡
a little maybe victorian steampunk right here yo
the shoes look bionic in a primitive way..pre-robot.
the bag and the arm band...steampunk
this piece is amazing
feathers on the dress (nature) and that mechanical looking bug belt (technology)
looks like inside an old computer
this, too, but it's also very pretty.
amazing amazing bag

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ BERNHARD WILLHELM

HURRAY FOR BERNHARD WILLHELM SPRING SUMMER 2011!!! I love love love this fun fun fun collection. Maybe I wouldn't wear everything, but the vision and the balls (yep...I said it and it's def appropriate when it comes to Mr. Willhelm) totally get my respect. He's one of those creators who just don't care about how you're supposed to do it. He just does it his own way. And that's why his following is so strong. And the shoot for the looks is totally fun and fresh after a few weeks of catwalks......especially the Bernhard Willhelm for Camper Together shoes, the best Bernhard Willhelm for Mykita sunglasses. (And wigs by Charlie le Mindu!)♡

I think these are now officially my favorite new glasses that I must own. Love the putty pink color. (BW for Mykita sunglasses...!) and the style of the wig is really nice...
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds...I love that bag
really pretty in a weird BW way
sweet blues

i would have done it minus the glasses here.
