Now if you're from the States like I am, you won't be familiar with Monki...but you should be. Even if you don't like the clothes, which look pretty ready-to-wear simple, you should def check out the entire branding design concept as well as their website aesthetic. It's amazing! And they're so smart (yes, I think those Scandies are super smart/brilliant with design) that they have just launched a magazine (i.e. a branded publication which is so so so smart and what I've been preaching to brands to do for-like-ev-er!). The entire package is done so well. Apparently they have stores all over over there (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Germany)...but none in the UK or over here across the pond. But looks like you can order online!♡

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ HONEY & GRITS!

 

I've been sampling a lot of good new product lately (some of it will be on here a bit later today, too). And one of my favorite new products is a HOLLYBETH'S GRITS & HONEY SCRUB . HOLLYBETH'S is a natural skin and body care line from the (US) South...Georgia to be exact. And everyone I know from Georgia is magical. There's something about the South that people love. And there's something else that makes everything down there so damn good. Out of all her products, I absolutely am hooked on this face scrub. First of all, it's honey. Honey is amazing for your skin. It acts like a humectant, which means it draws moisture to your skin. It also heals your skin. Honey is really magical. But the addition of grits makes it that much better because you're also exfoliating the dead skin off. Rather than just scrub my face, I actually slather some of it on and leave it on my face for as long as I can (usually a couple of hours). Then I scrub it off. The packaging is pretty and it's only $25 (US) for a 2 ounce jar. Another thing I should mention is that I keep it in the refrigerator, because it is all-natural. It keeps much better that way. Would make for a sweet holiday gift or a mini-personal-spa treatment for yourself while the family is visiting.♡

This part, which is part 5 of 6 parts showcases some of the most amazing designers of that time and interviews them! I think the hottest one on there is none other than Ossie Clark. THEY ARE A WOMENS US 7. I'M A PERFECT 6.5 AND THEY FIT ME WELL. THEY HAVE ABOUT A 3-INCH HEEL. SO YOU CAN RUN AROUND IN THEM.

ITEM 3) VINTAGE 60S HAWAIIAN MINI DRESS WITH EMPIRE WAIST. $25 USD. THIS IS A GREAT DRESS IF YOU LIKE MINIS AND PRINTS AND EMPIRE WAISTS. I LOVE THIS DRESS, BUT I HAVE A LOT OF MINIS THAT I WEAR ALL THE TIME. AND I REALLY HAVE TO PART WITH IT EVEN THOUGH I LOVE THE STYLE. IT'S A VERY SMALL SMALL. ITS MADE IN HAWAII.

ITEM 5) VINTAGE 60S HAWAIIAN GREEN PRINT POLY DRESS SIZE SMALL. $20 USD. THIS DRESS IS POLY, BUT IT'S ALSO REALLY GREAT. THE PRINT IS KIND OF ELEY KISHIMOTO FOR ME...I LOVE THIS DRESS. THE GREENS ARE GREAT AND YOU CAN SEE IN ONE OF THE CLOSE UPS HOW ONE OF THE SHADES IS A BIT FLASH.

ITEM 6) RED 80'S DOES 40'S POLKA-DOT TOP. SIZE XS/SMALL. $20 USD. SUPER CUTE. BUT I'VE NEVER WORN IT. THE LABEL IS REALLY CUTE, TOO.

ITEM 7) VINTAGE 80S WHITE LEATHER PUMPS WITH GOLD AND BLACK AND SILVER DETAIL. I THINK THEY'RE A US 7. $20 USD. SUPER 80S. I HAVE WAY TOO MANY OF THESE.  ONE OF HEELS NEEDS A NEW BIT ON THE VERY BOTTOM. THE OTHER ONE IS NEW ON THE BOTTOM OF THE HEEL.
