Looking for a cute chic lovely little bit for some gifts? Why not consider these lovely little Lanvin Key Rings? Super super sweet. And only $160. Hmmmm. They're enameled and were created to commemorate the 120th birthday of Lanvin. 120 years!? Available at Colette. (I'm traveling for work tomorrow. So some of my posts in the next few days might be short or a bit late. But I'll catch up over the weekend!)♡

Here's a video of the latest from Parisian couture designer Alexandre Vauthier . Though it's essence is classic and some of it we've seen before, it's still absolutely gorgeous with some of the most coveted looks I've seen from a young designer. I mean, what woman wouldn't want to look that hot? He's one of the few clawing his way to the top and I commend him for going forward with his couture journey, because, after all, all we keep hearing is how couture is a dying breed. (And, remember, couture means these gorgeous pieces were handmade in Paris...just look at the gold mini number and all the perfection in this perfect collection.) He didn't choose the easy route and that's why we should all keep an eye out for him and support him, write about him, try to buy him ;) and really just watch everything he does as much as we watch Karl or Marc. Watch the show...it's genius. I could have just done images, but I think watching the show really takes you closer to the pieces and the genius behind them.♡
SAM BRYANT RULES, especially in this beauty shoot with her makeup styling (shot by Catharine Servel) for Lula magazine, which I love. Which is actually one of the only publications I really look for and wait for these days. I love these girls and the hint of glam rock their faces hold....try some of it for one of your holiday parties. I mean, the perfect lips and perfect polka dots. You'll love it.♡
MORVERN CALLAR is one of my favorite films as well as one of my favorite books (written by a man, surprisingly....Alan Warner). The film, if you look at it for its style and art direction, is perfection. I had read and loved the book before I saw the film. That's always a bit hard because, if you love the book, the film can end up being a downer if they didn't do it right. The casting was on point, too, with Samantha Morton(LOVE HER) playing the lead role of Morvern Callar. I don't want to really give the plot away here in case you want to either read it or see the movie (or hopefully both), but it involves a novel writer and a publisher and a lot of crazy experience. But the film is really something else, because it's on another dimension from the book. You're not going to get much of the story from the two above scenes, but I know it will really peak your interest. You will understand what I'm talking about when it comes to style, casting and art direction. But, people, PLEASE read the book. The book takes you right into her mind. You hear her voice and see through her eyes rather than just having a fly-on-the-wall view. Oh...I forgot to mention one of the best things about the film...it was directed by a woman...Lynne Ramsay...who did an exquisite job. Bravo. (She's on the top of my list if they every turn my soon-to-be-released novel into a movie!)♡
PS......I love the MAMAS AND THE PAPAS....
And...here's "Some Velvet Morning" with Primal Scream featuring Kate Moss. It's a really good cover actually. And the images splashing on the screen behind them are by Julie Verhoeven (whom I also love). Happy Sunday.
