GIRL FRIDAY ♥ BROOKE SHIELDS CK

When I was a little little girl, I had the double-page advert from my mom's WWD (which used to sort of look like a newspaper) on my wall...of Brooke Shields in her Calvin Klein jeans. It was up there next to my Strawberry Shortcake and Superman or something posters. To this day, that advert is the number one most famous advertisement for women's jeans. And it's still gorgeous. I think it has something to do with not being over-styled or overly sexy. She's wearing simple boots. Yes, it's Brooke, but she was only 15. And yes, it was shot by Richard Avedon, a genius iconic photographer even then. But that doesn't instantly make it the most popular denim ad over 30 years later, does it? So what is it about this advert that makes it so strong so many years later? Take a look and see what you think. PS Why am I looking at old denim ads? Because I'm working with a denim brand right now.♡

SHOE ME THURSDAY ♥ VIVIER COURT SHOES

I know at first look some of you might not think this is a cool shoe. But I can see how amazing they are and would be with the simplest of looks. I love them. Maybe because they look Mod (I know I cover a lot of 60s, but I'm not a Mod. I think I'm more GlamRock...). Roger Vivier's Court Shoes aren't for the normal girl who gets the normal black platform or pink platform or any normal platform. These shoes are for a future girl, who gets it now. ♡

WEDNESDAY BAG ♥ THE MJ "JULIE" BAG

One of my dreams is for someone to name a bag after me one day. I know. It's weird. But I have a lot of designer friends and...well, it just seems like a really rad thing to happen. Especially if the bag is amazing. I guess I'm always in awe of Jane Birkin, plus her Hermes bag is one of the best bags out there. And when I see new bags with names from designers, I often wonder whom they named their bag after. I really loved Marc Jacobs' (Marc by Marc Jacobs) "Percy" bag. Dunno if that was named after a real girl or not. But this one is named Julie. It's got to be named after someone. And the bag is nice. And classic. So the girl must be classic. ♡

I'M SO SORRY!

I HAVEN'T POSTED ANYTHING UP HERE! I FOUND OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE THAT I HAD TO GO AWAY FOR WORK AND THAT TOOK ME AWAY...BUT I'LL POST WED, THURS, AND FRIDAY TOMORROW. SO SORRY, LOVELIES. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE MISSED TWO DAYS!
