These Chloé criss-cross ballet slippers are so nice. I fell in love with them immediately...you know hen you get that "shoe rush." Even though I lean more toward high heels or flip flops (on a sunny beach day), I do love a chic flat on lazy run-around or lounge-y days. (If I was a very tall tall girl like some of you, I would wear them every day!) I love the toe and looks like there's quite a bit of toe cleavage...and it's very strange, but they are the exact same price as the Miu Miu black pumps I also really want to add to my wardrobe...$425. These are available right now and who knows...maybe we'll see some very good knock-offs soon. But for me, everything about the color of the black leather to the embossed logo inside is perfect luxury.♡
really chic and girly
toe up love
looks soft and leathery
not as sexy as a heel back view, but i'll take it
and here they are again...just so you don't have to scroll up again. :)
I love this Peter Jensen double heart belt because it's over-sized and over-girly to the point where it really does become a great fashion piece. And it has the name (Peter Jensen) and the price to boot it up a little where it's even more of a special piece. If you own this belt and wear it and people know it's Peter Jensen and cost around £120...it's going to make a statement. A good one. :) (Available from Tatty Devine....they ship world-wide!)♡
VINTAGE MARY QUANT MAKE UP...THAT I ACTUALLY HAVE AND WILL POST ABOUT IT SOON.
Yea! The new latest and greatest video on vintage make up history from Lisa Eldridge (gorgeous lady)! This time it takes us all the way into the 70s with even more BIBAVINTAGE MAKE UP! I even see something like one of the sticks I have from my vintage collection. She also shows some Mary Quant, which I also own quite a bit of vintage. And I will do a post on that very soon! So enjoy. I absolutely love these videos and will most likely watch them until I know every detail they mention by heart.♡
Wow.Ido really have to seriously consider going to New York just to see this McQueen exhibit at the MET! I'm sure it's going to be insanely amazing and have the most gorgeous catalog/book to purchase. Sometimes I wonder if New York is calling me. I mean, this is going to be really surreal to see. Anyway...please read the info below taken from the McQueen YouTube channel. And after you read it, take a look at the montage they made for the announcement...it's really unbelievable when you watch all these masterpieces in a row.♡
The house of Alexander McQueen is honoured that The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is recognizing Lee Alexander McQueen's extraordinary body of work in its spring exhibition,Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. The exhibition will run from 4th May 2011 until the 31st July 2011. http://met.org/egDSui
The exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, will celebrate the late Alexander McQueen's extraordinary contributions to fashion. From his postgraduate collection of 1992 to his final runway presentation which took place after his death in February 2010, Mr. McQueen challenged and expanded the understanding of fashion beyond utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. His iconic designs constitute the work of an artist whose medium of expression was fashion. Approximately one hundred examples will be on view, including signature designs such as the bumster trouser, the kimono jacket, and the Origami frock coat, as well as pieces reflecting the exaggerated silhouettes of the 1860s, 1880s, 1890s, and 1950s that he crafted into contemporary silhouettes transmitting romantic narratives. Technical ingenuity imbued his designs with an innovative sensibility that kept him at fashion's vanguard.
