SUNDAY MATINEE ♥ MENS FERRAGAMO 2012

A year or more ago, I wrote about how men's fashion would be getting extreme....going back to the days when there was more to a male wardrobe than some pants, shorts, a button-up, T-shirts and sneakers. Those days have arrived. I've only watched a couple of the menswear shows so far, but it's already been amazing to see how fashion-y all the collections are getting. I feel, for probably one of the first times ever, that the men's shows are stacking up next to the women's collections....or getting very close. Take a look at the Salvatore Ferragamo Men's Spring/Summer 2012 show which was overseen/designed by Massimiliano Giornetti...who is also now in charge of the women's collection. I love his name and I appreciate and love his vision. I am sure I'll be cooing over some of the other menswear collections during this week (Prada, ahem). But take some time and have a look at this show. If I was a dude, I'd be STOKED.♡

SATURDAY SHOW ♥ CELINE PRE-SPRING 2012

THANK goodness Phoebe Philo lightened up a bit. I do love everything she touches. And I do love Céline and what she's done with the house. But the famous Phoebe buzz has been a little weak the past couple of seasons and I think one of the main reasons was that her collections might have been, dare I say it, a bit too sophisticated. This Celine Pre-Spring 2012 collection still feels very Céline....but it's very very young and fun, a nod to her Chloé days in a way. Especially with the model and her unkempt rocker hair.♡

i love it and i am sure those shoes will sell out.
this is so strange. i mean, i love it. but it looks like she got squooshed in the middle? but so fun compared to the other celine collections, non?
a bit witchy woman with the belt. but i think that's why i like it and why it makes it phoebe...
really LOVE this outfit. minus the gloves, you could wear this out in a second. you could also copy it with your own pieces. ;)
cool girls like to dress up outfit.
this is totally my style anyone who knows me will say the same thing. i don't believe i have to show everything to feel and look sexy. and i am a bit of a tomboy like phoebe. love this outfit. and the whtie shoes. see how well white shoes look with everything?
if this doesn't look gorgeous and french then i don't know what does. love that bisque color with the black. LOVE! it's the belt and the gloves that take it somewhere else, though. probably the shoes, too. almost a bit nina ricci, right?
cute. there's that hot celine cabas you can read about here.
another witchy woman outfit that i LOVE.
i love this so much.
witchy woman outfit numero 3. but i love it anyway.
this was pretty funny. i mean, this is the humor i was missing in the past celine collections philo worked on. THIS is fun fashion. have fun.

GIRL FRIDAY ♥ ROCHAS GIRLS

I think artistic director (weird title...shouldn't he be the Creative Director of the house?) for Rochas, Marco Zanini, has such clear vision for what he's doing. Season after season, he's been able to really continue telling the Rochas story...in his own way. And that's not easy to do (please see the Pucci collection...I am a HUGE MASSIVE Pucci fan...but I can't say I see Pucci when I look at the collections the past couple of years....as it looks more like a play on Cavalli than Pucci. Oh well...but I've made my point). It's still so chic. It's so fun. It's very Japanese almost. And the styling is amazing. For the Rochas Pre-Spring 2012 collection, they've styled the model (Julia Shvets) so so well. Actually, she is styled almost exactly the way a stylist I know does herself up. She even looks like her. I can't remember her name because it's been so long (but I will get the name as soon as I get my magazines out of storage), but she styled Yoko Ono for our shoot and my interview when I was with Oyster. She had the same braided wreath around her head and was very Greek goddess in her simplicity. And very chic. I'll find out. She was adorable. But back to Rochas. I can't get enough of Marco Zanini. I love the way he and also Sergio Zambon see young women and spring dresses. :) And I can't wait to have my next gig where I can where their clothes all the time!♡

love! though i'd wear heels with it. or little flats. but i like the look for editorial.
chic chic chic. would love to be wearing this entire look for work! including the hair!
love. i'm loving all black again so so much.
love!
separately i'm sure all of these are amazing. it's kind of funny for a look. but it makes for good editorial.

love his version of le smoking.
gorgeous print. very japanese looking. the look,  i mean.
gorgeous color!!
