MAKEUP MONDAY BONUS ♥ EMMA WATSON

I just thought since I missed one Makeup Monday post a couple of weeks ago I'd do a bonus one this week after seeing all the gorgeous tutorials on how to achieve Emma Watson's really pretty/glam/very 60s eye makeup for the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.

Here are a couple of pics followed by a couple of very good how-to's that you might like. I think the look is still gorrrrrrgeous and wearable for special days/nights sans the gold leaf. I actually like it without the gold leaf best. Enjoy!♡

THURSDAY SHOE ♥ GUISEPPE ZANOTTI STUD

I know some of you will gasp and say things like ugh and ick when you see the pics of these Giuseppe Zanotti studded heels. But I promise you that these are the types of heels you see on a sale rack because no one bothered to even try them on before judging them. Because these are the types of heels that once on your foot, they take on another life. TRUST ME! These were over 1000 bucks and now they're 50% off on Farfetch.com yo. I love these. Even if you hate them.♡

those are silver studs.

WED WONDER ♥ HERCHCOVITCH 2012 SPFW

This is the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Alexandre Herchcovitch, one of my all-time favorite designers and favorite shows to attend. He's never gotten way up there like I think he deserves to be. I mean, for me, he's up there with Marc Jacobs. I've never seen one collection that wasn't original or ugly or weird or not well thought out. I absolutely love everything he does and how he thinks and also how he presents his wares/wears. When I lived in New York, his shows were some of the most beautiful I had ever seen. I know they all look great in video, but they don't all look so great when you're sitting there in the first or second or sixth row. Trust me. This show is from Sao Paulo Fashion Week, which I have never attended, but I almost made it out there for their Fashion Week once. Though I have spent lots of amazing wonderful life-changing times in Sao Paulo, one of my favorite cities in the world. If you have a chance to buy and wear some Herchcovitch...DO IT. (And be sure to click that link and check out his official site cuz it's awe-some!) You will never regret it. And I promise you'll be the coolest girl (or boy) at the party. PS The audio for the video below was disabled by YouTube. But I'll add a vid below it and you can play that one at the same time if you wanted a little soundtrack action. The song they had with the vid was OMD, but I have a better idea...Fun Boy Three and their song "Our Lips Are Sealed"...the one the lead dude wrote for Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go's.♡

I chose the below pics randomly because I always love his entire collections...

as good as marc jacobs.

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ MARNI DOES DENIM

I really do love almost all the press releases I receive about Marni. When I read the subject line recently about Marni launching denim, I was a little like....say what? Why is Marni doing denim? If you've read my blog for a while, you've read that I was working on a major denim brand (art directing) for a bit last year and early this year. But upon looking at the styles of the Marni denim collection as well as the styling, I was won over. I do love it when a brand doesn't go the easy route and only work clothes to make a girl obnoxiously "sexy" with peel-off clothes. That's the way most denim is portrayed and styled. Not with Marni. They speak my language with a new take on the old fabric. I love the baggy, the sloppy, the individual style they bring to the brand and the confidence they project for their Marni girl. It's awe-some.

From the Marni Fall Winter 2011/2012 Denim collection release:
The collection is composed of 2 silhouettes, skinny and regular, available in different washes and in a mix of denim and fabric. The accent is on volume and the play of different materials is constant: denim combined with fabrics, such as wool, melange felt in a check pattern, corduroy or polka-dot motifs printed on finished items. ♡
