WED WONDER ♥ COMME DES GARCONS

The Comme des Garçons Spring Summer 2012 show was insane, in a good way. It reminded me a lot of this Chanel couture show, but it was very very CDG. Rei Kawakubo went through the entire lifespan of a human, the reviews said. But I mostly saw a lot of crazy brides. Even if they weren't meant to be. And hopefully you noticed one nod to Balenciaga, which I'll point out below. I'm sad the fashion season is over, but there really were only a few interesting things to see. No. I take that back. I think some of the designers really did deliver. Just not all of them. PS Lots of more posts coming later today!♡

probably one of my favorite things from the show

crazy and fun

gorgeous detailing

crazy and fun but this is how fashion shows should be.

i consider this stuff art.

a nod to balenciaga?

TUES TAILOR ♥ TSUMORI CHISATO SS 2012

I LOVE TSUMORI CHISATO and I always will. She is always so so true to her style and her clothes are always so fun and whimsical. And wearable. I think I have some favorites here, but mostly, I think I am loving the heels. She and the stuff Julie Verhoeven did for Gibo are similar and amazing. I know you have to be into this stuff to like it, and if you are into this stuff then you know that you don't wear it all together like that. It's just never ever boring. The Tsumori Chisato Spring Summer 2012 collection was one of the least boring yet!♡

it's just the crazy skirt i love. though i would never wear a yellow skirt that cut. but i love the print.

crazy textiles.

the jacket is badass 80s hip hop to me. like something jeremy scott would design. only tsumori does it better.

i love the print on this poncho thing. i think they're crocodiles, but i can't tell.

i love the shorts. dunno where i'd wear them. but i love them.

favorite look number 1, actually...it's the pants i want. i love love love love them.

favorite look number 2. i wouldn't wear it. well, if it looked good on me, i would. but i love this photo. it's perfectly styled.

favorite look number 3. i think in a hot city in the summer or spring, this would look amazing.

just crazy good balls-to-the-wall style.

love the skirt, love the shoes, love the girl.

i think this dress on a normal girl with long hair and good heels would be amazing.

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ GALLIANO SPRING 2012

a bunch of models outside the galliano spring 2012 show. don't they look fresh?
THOUGH it wasn't totally John, I really liked the Galliano Spring Summer 2012 collection, and I'll post some shots of the looks I fancied. But I also loved the fishtail braids and the makeup. I love love love this smokey rust/gold/bronze eye and matted lip. It's really something I love, and maybe it's because it looks so effortless during the day and can be jazzed up for evening simply by adding some black kohl liner to the waterline and some black mascara. I think with the hair and the makeup, the John Galliano show look was really a modern one, and I'll definitely be working it. The other good thing is, you can simply use your bronzers and/or blushes to achieve the entire look...and then a matted lipstick. But a couple of my budget brand favorites are Rimmel's Glam-eyes in Spicy Bronze and ELF's eye shadow in Saddle, Wild Wheat or Pebble if you're not looking for a full bronze effect. My all-time (for now) upscale brands for this is Becca. They have LOADS of colors that work with this look. Just browse their site and see for yourself.♡

MAKEUP MON ♥ TOM FORD SS 2012 MYSTERY

Oh that Tom Ford. He knows how to shake it up, doesn't he? With the official launch of his gorgeous beauty range this year and his top secret spring summer 2012 womens collection and show that was went off with a truckload of mystery....during LONDON fashion week, I'd say he's not only a master of women's clothes, but a master at marketing.  I'm sure the fashion press had a lot of fun with his Easter egg hunt, and I wish I was still flying around to shows for magazines so I could have maybe been a part of it. But, alas, I am not and, alas, there are hardly any photos of the show. What I was hoping for were some more images of the beauty, but I could only find one. Forgive me if you have seen these a million times, but I do love the vibe Tom Ford gives women and luxury, and so I had to do my part and add to the buzz that's going around. If you hear anything, do let me know either by leaving a comment or emailing me at feelingnancy at gmail dot com (sorry I have to break it up like that due to the spam robots). Here's the best we can see...for now. Fingers crossed. But surely on my own Christmas wishlist is a bit of the Tom Ford beauty range. Can't wait.♡

terrible shot but you can see how gorgeous the makeup is. especially the eyes.
