MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ ALEX BOX SPEAKS

Here's a little bonus vid for MAKEUP MONDAY...it's the gorgeous amazing talented creative director of Illamasqua, ALEX BOX, speaking about their first fragrance, FREAK, which I am so curious to smell.♡

I also totally forgot to post the below video of how to get one of their looks, which is (like almost everything they do) inspired by Berlin in the 1920s. It's so utterly unique and gorgeous to see....

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ LOUIS VUITTON BEAUTY

So pretty. So very very pretty. I think it was very very Audrey (Hepburn) at the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2012 show...at least with the beauty. Thick eyebrows, thick liner, fake lashes, pretty simple face. And it seems to look GORGEOUS on everyone. This collection was so pretty. I remember one of Marc's own collections being this 3D...I went to the store in San Francisco just to go through each piece in person and it was amazing with bows and butterflies that popped out of the fabric. These pieces must seem like a dream when you see them live. Sigh. I don't know if I'll get my hands on one of these (might be his last at LV), but at least we can do the face thing as it will look so very pretty in the cold weather we're about to see. Too bad LV doesn't have a cosmetics line, also. Would probably have gorgeous packaging.♡

really gorgeous. fill in your brows. some kind of foundation with a dewy glow. neutral shadow. thick black liner on the back of your eyes. think fake lashes and a soft lip. so pretty. maybe some light pink/peach blush.

so pretty. i mean, really really pretty.

i would love the green one, but i'd take either or. :)

such a gorgeous take on eyelet. pretty pretty spring colors. just beautiful.

marc and kate moss. she looked kind of strange and baby. but i love those kind of strange girly dresses.

SUNDAY MATINEE ♥ ELEY KISHIMOTO FILM

This is a film for the current collection and it's very....Eley Kishimoto. If you're unfamiliar with the brand/designers, they're primarily known for their use of color and textiles. I'll be doing some posts or at least one on the Spring Summer 2012 collection, as well as some other fun things the dynamic duo are doing....a mouthful! I did also interview them for Oyster magazine years ago, but I don't know if the article ever ran. It was when they were designing the Cacharel line.

Enjoy and happy Sunday! xxx OH and PS...I do have some new fashion/movie posts coming up soon like I've done in the past. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!♡

SATURDAY SHOW ♥ JCDC SPRING 2012

I love love Jean-Charles de Castelbajac because I think he always designs for his girls, not for the season or the magazines or anything else frankly. And this Spring Summer 2012 collection continued with the Disney theme, but had one of my favorite fashion faces, Mickey. People who know me or have known me or have worked with me, have seen me in my vintage Mickey sweatshirt for years. I think I've worn that sweatshirt when I sat in the front row at fashion week, when I was covering music and style in Brazil, when I was in Iceland for a festival. So I was excited to see JCDC and some Mickey. The problem I have is I couldn't see the shoes in any of the pictures from the show! (I could not find the shoe images anywhere. But, hopefully, JCDC will release a good heel like he usually does.)♡

this image is from 24hpp.com and it really shows how much cuter the clothes are than you see in the magazine site shots.

i love this sweater.

cute take on mickey's gloves.

love the top.
