TUES TAILOR ♥ MARC JACOBS RESORT 2013

Style.com's iPhone app sucks lately. There must have been a glitch because they weren't showing any new resort collections or very few...and than BAM....there were ALL the resort collections. One of the collections I am madly in love with is (of course) by Mr. Marc Jacobs, the genius himself. And even though you can see nods to that designer or that era here and there, and also even though I am really into blacks and grays and such, I do love a lot of the pieces and would love to own a few of them. So here are my favorite things from the Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 collection.♡

i don't know if i could ever wear anything like this/these. but there's something i really love about them. maybe it's the middle eastern vibe i get from them. or the japanese vibe. but i love it.

i think it's the entire photo with the hair and the shoes and the angle of the model that i love so much about this. it's very 70s to me.

little comme des garçons? but still amazing.

same as above...i love the models plus the 20s thing plus maybe a japanese or middle eastern thing going on. i love it.

if i was a tall tall tall super skinny leggy fashion girl...i'd wear these outfits in a heartbeat. :) i esp love the tops.

this would never work on me. but if i was a cute tall japanese girl, this would look amazing. :)

i don't know how anyone else could wear this and look like this? you have to have tall super skinny legs...all the way up! but as a person who was a fashion editor for 10 years and an art director, i do love this look and the model in it. esp the hair.

i think these are probably one of my favorite outfits. so 60s. so chic. so japanese. if you showed up at a job (creative) in one of these outfits, you would look like a style queen. notice the hair and the simple makeup. i also love the loafers, though i couldn't do those probably. but i love these so so much.

these are my other favorite outfits. i esp love the long polo collared dress. i have been wearing my black lacoste polo dress almost every other day i love it so much. and this would just be a great party version. i love both and i'm not even a yellow fan.

my third favorite outfit/look is the red dress and black mary jane shoe things here. i love this so much. if you look up close (i'll blow it up for you to see), you can see how much gorgeous detail is in this dress. plus, i love the bow at the top and the shoes. and the hair and makeup, too.

i wouldn't wear this. but i love it as editorial.

i love the color of this fabric and the photo from the lookbook. love it.

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ TWO FAVORITES

I thought I'd do a post on some of my new favorites because I am LOVING them. Some of the other favorites I've already posted about. But there are two specific new items that you have to hear about, even if you've heard about them before.

Some of the already-mentioned products I am loving right now are:
Becca Creme Blush in Amaryllis (which you can read about here and purchase/learn more here) and Skin 79 BB Cream in the orange container (which you can read about here) and the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle (Tinted) Eye Roller (a roll-on concealer with benefits...which I have been using for a year and still love it so much....it does not crease on me and I have dry skin...and it decreases some of the puffiness under my eyes which I love! You can read about it here.)

Now for the two new products I've been LOVING LOVING this month. First on the list is the other Skin 79 BB Cream.

It's actually called Skin 79 VIP GOLD BB Cream. I had done some more research because I fell in love with the Skin 79 BB Cream in the orange container which I wrote about here. But I thought it was a teensy big dry. The one in the pink VIP Gold BB cream is for drier skin. It definitely has a little bit less coverage than the orange (Triple Function) BB Cream. So I will still use the orange one if I need more coverage. But when my skin is doing well, I will definitely be using the VIP Gold. I wore it to a BBQ the other day and even when I got back home, my skin looked pretty flawless with no dry spots.

Now with these BB Creams, I don't know how dark your skin can be to wear them. My skin looks like a ghost when I first apply it. It seems to change or oxidize and match my skin really well after a while. I think if I was a little darker than my light-ish olive tone, I might not be able to wear it. Though, I do think for the price (less than $20!), it's worth trying because the product is amazing. And the packaging is just an added bonus. Also, be care of fakes. I purchased mine from this seller

The other product is a surprise. On a quick buy, I decided to get one of the Revlon Lip Butters in the color Tutti Frutti. And I love it. I was in love with the orange color or coral or whatever. And that even though it's sheer like a balm, there was actual color on my lips. I usually hate these kinds of things because they end up looking like nothing but clear gloss on my lips. But this one has color. It's very expensive in texture. And color. So I love it. I just don't like the packaging. They could do better.

That's it for now. I'll be doing a post soon on the essentials to being a little rocker girl like the girls in my novel which comes out SOON! YIKES! Have a lovely day!♡

SUNDAY MATINEE ♥ MORE WARHOL

I started watching another documentary about Andy Warhol and The Factory the other day. I have watched probably everything they've made about Warhol, Edie and also The Factory, but I especially loved this French (of course) documentary. It really breaks it down from beginning to end. It explains chronologically what went on, how things progressed and even touches on the affair Edie had with Bob Dylan (something he denies). There are a few parts, so I'll post up the first show here and you can go to the YouTube channel it's on and watch the rest. There are 12 parts in all. Hopefully it'll be up for a while and won't get taken down by the YouTube police. :)♡

SATURDAY STUFF ♥ FASHION MASHUP

Looks like I left for a big BBQ at the beach thinking the Saturday post was up....little did I know it was never saved correctly and didn't make it up there. :( So sorry. So here it is and I'm going to post up the Sunday Matinee post right after this goes up. :)

Here's another amazing little post that they did over at Pet Fan Club which is the blog for Material Girl magazine (which I just got in the mail! woohoo! the one with the nun girls!)...I like this fashion story because it's a strange take on 40s and 50s fashion and a little white trash (which seems to be something the fashion people outside of the US especially can't get enough of for some reason). I especially love the accessories.♡
