Did you all know that over there are the NARS website, they have these gorgeous simple video tutorials? The new Fall collection How-To videos are up here. But I thought I could post a couple of the Summer How-To vids here since it is still summer and the weather feels like it's starting to actually get super hot outside. The only thing I don't understand about these videos is why François Nars isn't doing the makeup himself? I remember the first time I went to New York and directly to Barney's to pick up a Nars lipstick. They were new then and super exclusive. And I think the brand is still pretty much living up to the same feel as it always has.♡

I will fill in the words about this tomorrow. But I wanted to get it up now. This is VenusAngelic from YouTube. I have been watching her since she had only a couple hundred people watching but now she has a ton. And a ton of haters. But I like her. I'll explain tomorrow, but I esp loved this new video she did with easy Yakata hairstyles....it's surreal. And she's not Japanese. I think she's Swedish and Spanish or something. But she looks Japanese. And that's her real voice. I like her. OK. I will be more clear when I write tomo.♡

GIRL FRIDAY ♥ LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

In honor of the Olympics launching today, I thought I'd try to find some really good athletic or Olympic fashion shoot. I tried to find something from the 80s, but it was taking too long. I nearly gave up until I came across this gem from Marie Claire Italy from March, methinks, titled "Black Gym". It features model Ranya Mordanova who is styled amazingly by Ivana Spernicelli (what talent!) and photographed by David Slijper. Now, when I was a magazine editor (for Oyster and also worked for Dazed and Tokion and others for a long time), these are the kinds of editorials I looked for. Or, rather, the kind of stylists and stories I LOVED. This is so original looking. Even the cover looks fresh. Let the games begin!

I was actually trying to find this shoot by Arthur Elgort...I'll still look for it. Looks amazing and very Olympic-ish...♡
