We are Illamasqua and we are making a stand against the global giants of cosmetics, who force Australian customers to pay up to 61% more than UK prices. It’s entirely unjust that a woman in the UK pays just $24 for a lipstick, while a woman in Australia has to pay $40 for exactly the same product.
Illamasqua is an independent British colour cosmetics brand and, in the short time we’ve retailed in Australia, we’ve heard time and again your frustration over the inflated pricing of cosmetics compared to the rest of the world.
We have listened and want to slash our prices across our range in Australia. But first we need you to demonstrate to the industry that if we can make this change happen, you’ll commit to buying our products. So please sign your name, make your mark, tell your friends, clench your fist and cry “hell no!”

I personally never understood why even with brands like Becca, that come from Australia, are overpriced so much. Those four people who run the pricing racket (just like gangsters) are in for a great big awakening. Bravo to Illamasqua! SIGN THE PETITION HERE! ♡

I swear I love every single outfit in this collection, plus all the sunglasses. And maybe even the shoes. This is the video lookbook for the newly arriving KAREN WALKER'S SEA MONSTERS collection. It will be in her store or online tomorrow, methinks. I also always love the styling of Karen Walker models. I think Heathermary Jackson (of The Face...which I got to write for three times before it tanked) styles all her stuff, or used to, or sometimes does. And she is the shit. Okay...here is something you can read about her....I mean, she was the fashion editor at The Face! I'll have to do a post on The Face since I was lucky enough to write a tiny bit for them before they folded...amazing magazine.

Wow...what a difference a well-shot, well-thought-out, well-executed marketing campaign makes! I love this new fall 2012 campaign for Balmain, shot by David Sims (what campaign doesn't he shoot?) and featuring model Nadja Bender. Looks fresh to me. Honestly, I couldn't tell you what any of the past Balmain campaigns looked like. At all. ♡
