Don't hate me for posting this. I thought I should at least share it. I think the images are strong and will definitely stand out once they're out in the world. Hedi obviously shot it. But this slow slow way of showing the photos with the slow slow song....YAWNING. I can't even see the clothes. I don't know. I love Hedi (when I was with Anthem magazine, he was a guest editor for an entire issue), but this is just kind of a boring video. Wow. When have you ever heard so much negativity from me during Paris Fashion Week? Never. I just thought this year was so boring. I am sure Louis Vuitton will be amazing, though. Thank God. ♡
I'm not really in that Tsumori Chisato mood these days, meaning I would rather wear all black or all gray or all navy than vibrant colors and prints. Still, she is one of my favorite designers, so of course I want to see what she's done and post it up. I'll do a post of the shoes a bit later on. I think Chisato is definitely one of those designer shows where you MUST know that these looks are meant to be taken apart. You're not really expected to wear all of her stuff together because clearly one piece is enough statement. But it always makes for an interesting collection and runway show. ♡
i am sure those shoes are amazing. it's a great editorial look and that's a very very Persian green.
i'm really feeling this kind of "look at me i'm a chic director" look. :)
that top alone paired with something simple would be awesome.
i love that windbreaker.
that is very pretty and the model has a great figure for it.
i also love this and think it's very chic money style girl.
look how cute tsumori chisato is! see how she pairs the crazy with all black? that's the trick.
I was really interesting in reading the comments about the Dior Spring Summer 2013 show. And for good reason. Opinions about it run the gamut...from things like, "Now I know it's not the brand that I love, it's the designer. I miss Galliano..." to "Brilliant Dior with Raf's modern techno-light...Brilliant!". I have sort of mixed feelings about it, too. I love this collection so much because it's true...it does look very very classic DIOR, but it also looks very very Raf, which makes it special and cool. And I would wear pretty much almost every bit of this and I'm sure they'll sell loads because so much of it was actually wearable. Though I don't understand those fancy short dresses? Fancy tunics? And the caterpillar-print dresses. And then yes...I do very much miss the comedy and drama and theatrics and makeup ofa Galliano show/collection. At the very least, I think Galliano should make a comeback somehow and prove everyone wrong. Because Paris Fashion Week is not the same without him. Even though Raf's Dior is a beautiful addition.
(One thing is for sure...I LOVE the makeup and I'm going to do a post on it.)♡
what a gorgeous perfect suit. amazing. all of these suit pieces or tux pieces were amazing.
a little bit of raf, and a little bit of dior esp on the shoulder.
what is the real sell going to be from this look? are the real pieces longer? i love the fabrics but i don't understand this look he has done recently.
i love this. prob because it looks 60s.
i don't now about that train or skirt or whatever, but i love the fabric and the colors.
i love love this dress.
pretty amazing, too.
i love these ballerina dresses with the metallics and the shoes and the simple black knit top. i'd wear this look in a second if i had somewhere to wear it!
I don't understand what the hell is going on. I can't believe how awful so many collections are. I can't believe how strange and weird and weird and grunge-y Nina Ricci was at their Spring Summer 2013 show. There are a couple of things I love like the sheer with polka dots pieces...I have always had a thing with polka dots since I was like 10 years old. I love pantyhose/stockings that are sheer black with little black polka dots....Anyway...I mean, doesn't it look like everyone is trying to compete with Alexander Wang (who is trying to be Daryl K and Helmet Lang?)????? It's awful. It looks like people pressured for these big designers to do what they think should be done, even if it's not their style. This is not Peter Copping's style...things that look like grunge. I don't even understand. And I'm so sad that all the fashion weeks are almost over. This makes me want to pay more attention to the other fashion weeks we never hear about...like, Copenhagen Fashion Week and Russia Fashion Week.
Hmmmmm. I didn't like pretty much almost every piece except for some of the ones below.♡
i love bisque or blush and black with polka dots. i have a dress like this, but shorter and the opposite in color...black with bisque dots.
i think this dress in another common color would make it look depressingly bad. i think it's the dots that do it and make it cute.
i like the look minus that skirt. if it was a simple nina ricci skirt.
i love these kinds of tops with huge sleeves. or sweaters. but not the skirt.
i love this look. i am also a huge fan of fishnets (in nude color, too).
this is the kind of thing/dress i would go crazy over! but it looks strange. it looks terrible on her and she's a model.
