PFW ♥ JEAN-CHARLES DE CASTELBAJAC SPRING SUMMER 2013 ♥

Oh thank goodness for designers like Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and his Spring Summer 2013 show. It was interesting. There was awesome pieces, some normal pieces and some funny pieces that I love. I think that's part of a Castelbajac collection...you have to look for the messages and details that make you laugh. There's always humor. There's always something really young and fun. And by young I mean kid-like. There are always a couple of pieces I'm aching for after I watch a show.♡

i love love this dress with the tropical leaves and the building/architecture! and i love the shoes.

it's such a simple look, but it's so pretty and so JCDC.

this is one of the pieces i really want. this dress with this crazy face on it. i LOVE it.

so avant garde, but really lovely. i just love that leaf print.

this piece and the piece below have a very 80s quality that no one has really tapped into yet....

...because khaki and the safari-esque look was a really huge trend in the early 80s. there were tons of dresses and jumpsuits and rompers made out of this type of fabric in khaki green and beige and sand.

pretty crazy kaftan. i don't think many people want to wear this, but it's so interesting to look at and decipher. that camera on the top of the palm tree...we're watching...

if i was a tall model, i would wear this racing suit or is it fencing?

this is so strange. but it's fun to see.

FF ♥ LOUIS VUITTON TRAVEL GUIDE: PARIS ♥

I LOVE these...especially this one because it's PARIS and also because it's about literature (mostly), which makes me happy! It's one of the reason why I love Paris so much; so many of my writing heroes lived and wrote novels in Paris.....a dream of mine that I will fulfill one day soon.  I would also love to have my novel translated into French and Japanese.♡

PFW ♥ LOUIS VUITTON SPRING SUMMER 2013 SAVES FASHION ♥

Oh yes....that was a happy way to end the most boring fashion season I have probably ever watched. What a drag. What was going on with the lines this year? But the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2013 show was not only amazing and beautifully produced, it also had great style and gorgeous wearable fashion-y clothes, which is what we all want to see. I also was amazed at how petite these models looked in this show, like they were all around 12 years old. But then you'd see a famous face and realize they're all tall tall girls. There are so many pieces I want from this collection, including those tiny speedy bags and those bow headbands. I have a pointy Louis Vuitton shoe that I love, but can't always wear because that toe looks so outdated at times. But it fits right in with this show, so I'm happy I can take them out and wear them soon. The other genius thing about this collection is that there are pieces very young LV customers will wear and buy as well as pieces for a much older money set. There are even some pieces, mainly the dresses, that all ages can wear. It's genius. What the video of the show here.

the dress is one of my favorite things ever! i love anything 60s that's evening and black shiny. there's a film i'll post something about soon that has a dress similar to this that lauren bacall is wearing.
