I just got a little package from Amy Davis with the original drawing of her POP ROCKS post on her YUMMY DRESS blog! If you haven't checked it out...GO NOW! It's a character from my novel ARCADIA and it's teamed with an amazing recipe for MOCK-CHOS! 

NOW THE illustration online looks amazing...but the actual original is really on another level because you get to see all the little tiny details (like all the hot pink) and her hand work, which makes it even more insanely good! 

I'm so thrilled to have this and I plan on hanging it above my writing desk in my new place!♥

♥ CELINE PRE-FALL 2013 ♥ LOOKS LIKE PHOEBE WOKE UP ♥

I don't know about this new Céline Pre-Fall 2013 collection, meaning...I have always been a huge fan of the house, way before Philo took over. But even as much as I adore Phoebe, I was kind of bored with all Céline collections. It's probably because I'm not really a Céline girl or maybe it was too conservative or too old for me. I don't know. Maybe most of the looks seem like they're made for really rail-thin tall tall TALL model-y girls with strawberry complexions. This...I am not. :) But for the Pre-Fall collection I noticed a lot of the things I love about Phoebe's design aesthetic...that slouchy chic giant shoe girl. That really rich princess teen girl. And I love it. The first thought I had was that she insisted on having some big-ass shoes in the collection and even though in the past they might have said no...she fought tooth and nail to have them in this one. This is all a daydream, though. And a funny one at that. But it does make me very much want to see what the Fall 2013 collection will yield. ♥

that is just a great look. she looks like an art gallery girl or a fashion girl or a princess socialite girl. definitely a great looking dressed girl. love the shoes, esp!

is that supposed to be some kind of arabic or indian princess head thing going on? i don't get that. but i love the peplum top.

i love it all except i don't know about that gigantic witchy belt. you can't be small and wear that giant belt.

really cute and chic. that skirt would be a dress on girls who aren't 10-feet tall.

♥ LOUIS VUITTON PRE-FALL 2013 ♥ DARKER, MOODIER (AND MOD) ♥

I read that this Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall collection for 2013 was inspired by the 1968 film THE BRIDE WORE BLACK. And the studio head over at LV said that they describe it as more "vampy". Yes. A little. It's obviously dark. But it's so so Mod and rich that I love it so much. What I love about Louis Vuitton is that you can obviously see how much the Asian and specifically the Japanese market loves this brand and shops this brand (which is exactly what Marc said during his recent interview online). It's obviously made for them more than anyone else in the world. And the Asian market and more so the Japanese are really daring and fun when it comes to fashion. So thank goodness we have a designer like Marc who doesn't dumb down the line just because it's a very old iconic stuffy (as in elitist) brand. I'm so so so sick of those anorexic blonde boring models with boring hair and no bodies trying to be sexy (ie Karlie Kloss). I like these funny girls. With their super Mod hairdos. I remember the Mod crews riding around on their scooters in LA when I was in junior high and they all had some sort of hair like that. And so did the boys.♥

sheer polka dot hose is one of my favorite things ever.

♥ GILES PRE-FALL 2013 ♥ THE WITCHING HOUR ♥

GILES PRE-FALL 2013 is pretty lovely. I love that entire prairie and empire (or UM-PEEER as some people say) dress thing. I know it doesn't showcase a good figure. But it feels pretty. It feels comfy. It feels like you aren't trying. I especially love that tomato/coral dress below. I really think Giles is one of the new genius designers and I don't know why he's not doing a major label as well as his own... ♥

the model's face looks scary! terrible choice of photo. but the dress is awesome and witchy and i love that!

i don't know what's going on with the model's face. but i love the blouse and the skirt. though that skirt would be a gown on me!
