♥ BERLIN FASHION WEEK ♥ LENA HOSCHEK FALL 2013-14 ♥

I have to say that although I had a crazy busy/exhausting week, I was still able to follow the shows and I wasn't super excited about much...even though we're in Milan now. :( I'm going to do a post right after this one on the Prada shoes...I love that brand, but I can't see anyone wearing anything in that show. But I've been happy to see some of the mainstream mags have been covering Berlin Fashion Week, which was happening recently, too. I was pretty into this designer named Lena Hoschek and her Heidi kind of collection (well, it looks a little like Dolce and Gabbana...sort of). There was a lot to choose from in this line...though, they need a new stylist and the hair and makeup were bad (sorry...but it can be way better if they get new hair and makeup people). But look at some of the pieces below. Some of them are so so pretty. You can view the rest of the collection here.

bad hair. bad makeup. but some cute elements and colors.

it's cute. but again, not the hair or makeup.

the dress and the shoes would be enough. they didn't need to add that scarf thing. but the dress is super pretty. and the shoes are cool.

cute little dress.

this dress is so pretty.

the dress is nice. but the hair and makeup. no.

the dress is so pretty minus the big flower belt thing? and the hair. she would have looked better with natural makeup, a bold lip and flowy hair.

♥ GILES DEACON FALL 2013-2014 GOES TO THE DARK SIDE ♥

Oh how I love love love LOVE Giles Deacon. This is probably, um, well, I dunno...the third or fourth season that I've drooled over his designs. Why they removed him from the house of Ungaro, I do not know...but they're crazy for doing so. Giles Fall 2013-2014 is a gorgeous, dark, eerie, gorgeous, awesome collection of dresses and vibe. The girls always look totally stoked to be walking in his show. The clothes always look impeccable. And the little details are always the most amazing little smart and even intellectual bits and pieces that draw you in like a drug...and keep you wanting more (a cliché, but true :).

such a beautiful billowy dress! love kristen mcmenamy!

georgia may in a gorgeous gold number.

i'm not into those beanies, but i can see what he did to the look and it works. i love the shape of this dress.

I'm loving how he started the show with Kristen McMenamy in the light...and ended with her in the dark. (And good for her! And her big-time comeback. I think I even love her more than before when she was an uber super model.) I love this dark witchy/Gothy thing that's going on with so many designers this season...they're pulling away from being purely pretty and sexy. I love all these dark queen (or princess) dresses that remind me of Ophelia floating down the stream...moat...what did Ophelia throw herself into?

i love this look. hard to wear, but i love the look, nonetheless.

I just wish I was a super tall girl, because most of these dresses have to be worn by a tall girl. I also wish someone from the Oscars would wear these dresses...I mean, I love Dior and such. But it's getting BORING when everyone wears the same dress. If I was going to the Oscars, I would have AT LEAST one outfit change. Anyway...see more on the collection here. I have shown a lot, but honestly I wanted to show even more! I can't wait to see the video. I just can't get over how Giles can do pretty princess royalty and fall into googly eyes, too. Amazing.

i love love this little dress.

kristen mcmenamy...dark and witchy (or gothy)...i love it!

such a pretty shoe. he always has good shoes.

♥ MARC JACOBS FALL 2013-2014 DREAMY DOUBLE POST ♥

I read some comments about the Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 EPIC show underneath video and most of them went something like, "I want to download this and own it forever!"...and I think most of us felt the same way when we were watching it. I, myself, felt as though I was at a big-time show in New York...on Broadway that is. Or experiencing something totally ethereal that no one who missed it would ever understand. We were all captured for around 15 minutes...in awe. That's been the consensus. It was worth the wait it was worth the wait it was worth the wait....was the statement from every iconic editor interviewed on the pre-show by Jessica Stam (Stam Bag, anyone?).

I loved so many things about this, but I think the biggest thing I love about MJ is he knows me...he knows his customer as though he hung out with us during a crying session last Friday night in our room with our mascara running and our pot of ice cream in front of us. He knows his customer as though he was there at our biggest moments. He knows us at our saddest ugliest days when we need someone to show us we can be the prettiest girl at the party. And I really love him for that.

a total kate moss look.

The other thing I loved about the show was the shoes and bags. Python Mary Janes! YES! Can't wait to add a couple of those into my shoe collection. And of course all the "lounge wear" was super fun and the shininess of it all made me hope and pray for a load of cash to drop on these dresses and coats once they are available. If you've never been into a Marc Jacobs boutique, let me tell you...even the simplest of pieces feels and looks so sharp and tailor made and expensive. They look like their price tags, if that makes sense.

hello, lover

I was also loving that dark smokey eye...and wondering if this wasn't done with the new soon-to-be-launched Marc Jacobs cosmetics line...I did some snooping around and actually found one image of the nail polish! And be warned...the packaging is unique and amazing, too! But more on the makeup tomorrow!

i want this little bag...

I have enjoyed some of the shows in London...but not enough to have gotten over the MJ show yet. :) Probably will be obsessed until Paris. Happy Sunday!
