♥ SUNDAY MATINEE ♥ NINA RICCI FALL 2013-2014 SO VERY PRETTY ♥

I did watch a great fashion-filled film today that I'll do a post on after Paris Fashion Week is over. But I thought I'd just show the Nina Ricci Fall 2013/14 show because it's kind of a waste of time for me to choose outfits or shoes that I like...I just seem to like almost everything in the Nina Ricci collections and I'd happily accept anything from them. :) Happy Sunday!

♥ PARIS FASHION WEEK ♥ VICTOR AND ROLF FALL 2013/14 ♥

I always love what Victor and Rolf do. I think they know what they like and they know what their brand is about and they know their girls. I love their theatrical craziness, but I also loved this more simple Fall 2013 collection that was in the same consumer category that say...Valentino is in now. Which is also genius. I love all the uber 60s micro-mini action and I actually own a few vintage pieces and we hemmed up almost that high (as high as we could go without my showing any bits and pieces) because that's such a great Twiggy/Paraphernalia era of the 60s (only they had matching panties to go with those tiny dresses back in the day).

I also love how much darkness is always in the collections. They team usually have this very dark Lolita undertone...or a stormy version of Little Bo Peep. I have no idea where this crazy dark Goth part of me is coming from (I just colored my nails a very vampy blood purple color...when I thought I was married to my toffee browns!)...but I like it.

i love that leather skirt, but i could never wear it...i'm too small and curvy.

oh how i love these super 60s suit-type looks...militarian...is that even a word? and julia nobis is working so much this season. she must be rich at this point.

i love these giant bow tops a la marilyn and diana vreeland. but i don't know how many girls can pull it off under 5 foot 10...

another one of these 60s military looks that i love. feels almost balenciaga-ish.

i love this. but as a coat it would be nice, too.

love it but not with those shoes.

i love this top so much. but again, if you're a small person, i don't know how you would pull it off. plus, i have a chest...these extra things on me don't exactly flatter anything.
i kind of like this scratched look in black and white. reminds me of stephen sprouse.

i hope this gets knocked off. because i LOVE it!!!

♥ PARIS FASHION WEEK: ROCHAS FALL 2013-14 CHANNELS THE HEPBURNS ♥

There's always something to modest and very Hollywood (in this case, a very Katharine Hepburn-esque vibe who was also trés modest in her way of dress) to everything Marco Zanini does in his designs for Rochas, and especially for the Fall 2013 collection. Rochas is a label that I can't really see myself wearing, but somehow I am its biggest fan. I think it's created with great thought and precision and intelligence...and respect. I think Marco Zanini is a genius and a risk taker and doesn't feel all women need to be sexy-sexy seven days a week. It's for those smarter girls you're too intimidated to go up and talk to so you just compliment her shoes instead. Every season I look forward to seeing what this house will showcase and every season I fall even deeper in love.

soooo pretty.

even the eyebrows/makeup were classic audrey and katharine (hepburn). the perfect Rochas girl look.
this season loads of designers are giving us these monster silhouettes...so so 90s!

so old hollywood to me.

so so audrey (another hepburn)

gigantic oversized again. you have to look like a model to wear anything like this.

♥ PARIS FASHION WEEK: UNDERCOVER'S FALL 2013/14 EVIL BUNNIES ♥

I love all things Undercover because Jun Takahashi's work is always more like an art show than a fashion show and there is usually a very prominent tongue-in-cheek factor that's not so shy about being known. There are always fun exciting elements and great crafts and bits and pieces that anyone obsessed with Japanese culture or being uber tastemaker will ulitmately own (and probably buy from Colette's website). This collection had a slew of evil bunny masks, which I of course loved, plus a lot of rib cages which reminded me of Spinal Tap and crazy trenches with grommets and evil eyes peering at you.  There were also a lot of looks sculpted from shirt collars! Genius!

they see you!

chic shirt collars!
