I had to post this short story up before it was too late...because sometimes I forget, and then it gets lost in space. So I thought it best to get it up today. I haven't bought Italian Vogue (a fashion Bible) in a while...a few months, in fact. But it never disappoints and I think they have their site vogue.it organized so neatly that it makes it super easy to see what they've done lately. It was shot by Camilla Akrans. I think the casting is awesome. The model looks straight out of 1968 and the makeup is gorgeous...of course.♥

♥ THURSDAY SHOW ♥ WHO'S THAT GIRL: CHIE ISHIKAWA ♥

Okay, truth be told...I have no idea if Chie Ishikawa is a girl or boy or a model or actress, pop star or stylist...but there seems to be examples of work in makeup and beauty as well as photography. If you know, then please tell me because everything seems to be in Japanese and I can't read it! No matter who Chie Ishikawa is, I love "their" work...I love the makeup and styling and everything I see. I've had one image (I will note it below) for about 4 years or more...and I don't know what magazine it came from or if there are more. But it's just amazing. It's one of my favorite looks of all time and has inspired a lot of things in my projects over the years. I tried to initially find the fashion story it belonged to via google image search. What I found instead was a load of other work by one Chie Ishikawa...and I LOVE IT!! And you'll love it, too! ♥

♥ MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ NARS @ MARC JACOBS FALL 2013/14 ♥

I had to do a post on the makeup (and look) from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 show that just happened a couple of weeks ago because it was inspired by one of my favorites, Joan Jett (though I get annoyed with Joan Jett for hoarding all the rights to The Runaways and then seeing it fit to sell them on crappy projects like the terrible Runaways movie and stupid Dell computer commercials...but keeping the people behind the documentary from using any of the music at all). 

But back to Marc Jacobs....I wouldn't do my hair like this (again....I did have a long version of this for almost 7 years...before all the little girls today started doing it), but the makeup is just the most amazing smokey eye and so so modern. It looks futuristic, which went with the dark mood of the show. I read that they wanted to show a makeup that would work well in the Sepia lighting as well as the spotlighting. And it did. Plus, don't we all love love to see the Nars face charts? I've listed all the makeup used below...

Oh oh oh! One important note is that they used two nail polishes from the new Marc Jacobs cosmetic line, which should launch in the fall. Right when this collection hits stores. The makeup will be available at Sephora.♥
