♥PRADA CANDY WES ANDERSON X ROMAN COPPOLA BEHIND THE SCENES♥

This is too short for me....meaning, I loved it and wish it was longer. But I supposed there will be more behind-the-scenes videos. We also get to see those cute boys a little more here, too. This has been a huge success for Prada. I think, even for the massive most popular brands, it's hard for a label to draw high views on videos on their YouTube channels especially. But I've been tracking this and I was happy to see they had over 80,000 views on the other clips on the very first day. Big big hit. I bet a lot of bottles of that fragrance have sold and will sell this weekend. Because of course we all want to be just like Candy.♥

♥ TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ LULA SPRING SUMMER 2013 WITH CODIE YOUNG ♥

I get asked a lot about magazines because I was an editor and writer for some of the best for years and years (I started really young...while I was still in college). People ask me what I buy now and what my favorite magazines are. And frankly...there are very few that I ever run out to the newsstand to get. One of the lessons I learned in journalism school was the sign of a successful magazine was if you were dying to get the new issue. As in...you cannot wait for the next issue to come out. I think most magazines are incredibly boring these days. I don't know when anything new will happen. BUT BUT BUT...having said that, the two I love so much and do ache for are Material Girl (which I have featured on here many times) and Lula (which I am still wanting to write for...I think they should do a Heavy Metal issue and feature my novel! THAT would be a dream!). Take for example Lula's Spring/Summer 2013 issue which just came out featuring model Codie Young on the cover (I also love Codie Young, despite how weirdly thin she is...but you can tell it's natural...she's an alien and belongs on the same planet as Bowie)...it's absolutely amazing, gorgeous, I want to dress like that, do my makeup like that, stare at the pages every day. I haven't actually picked up this issue yet (and I hope I can find it because Lula tends to sell out quickly), but I will. Oh you bet I will.♥

one of two covers.

very strange cover. but i love it.

of course this amazing look is all red valentino.

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ LIPFUSION MICRO-COLLAGEN LIP PLUMP COLOR SHINE ♥

Recently The Beauty Professor (Rachel Anise) shared some of her current fave products and one of them was a lip treatment by LipFusion. She's the only one besides Lisa Eldridge who's ever talked about these products on YouTube. Well, the only other person I've seen. I told her (Rachel) that I, too, love this brand and their products. I own about 4 or 5 of the lip colors, which are called MICRO-COLLAGEN LIP PLUMP COLOR SHINE...they're really lip glosses that plump your lips up. Mind you...I hate lip gloss. I don't like how it looks or feels. I think it can look disgusting on the the wrong lips or with the wrong formula. But the LIPFUSION glosses are rich, lovely, nice, chic. And they actually do plump my lips up a bit. My favorites are the colors SUGAR, which I don't really use on its own. I use it at the beginning of my makeup and it plumps up my lips and then I apply my lip product at the end of my makeup regime. It's a very sheer nude. The next color I love love love is DREAM, a totally 70's mauve-y browny color. I do wear this on its own and it looks really chic. No shimmer at all. Which is why I love it. The third favorite is called SEXY. I just pulled this out to use now that we're fully in spring. It's a sheer popsicle red color. The shade is gorgeous and I have to say I love it a hundred times more than my Chanel lip gloss, which I hardly ever used and now it's rancid. :( The other things is the packaging...it's gorgeous and elegant (they should look nice for a $40 lip gloss!). If you feel like trying these, by all means do. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I'm not. I mean, I own five (I have doubles of Dream and Sugar). They're available here. ♥

top to bottom: sexy, dream and sugar...you can see which one has been tossed around my makeup bag for a while now.

♥ SUNDAY MATINEE ♥ POV GIRL MODEL (A PBS DOCUMENTARY) ♥

Watch Girl Model on PBS. See more from POV.

I watched this film on the PBS.ORG site (I love love PBS), and I thought it was super good and interesting. I didn't really like the scout very much in the end. I wondered what she would have done had she a teen girl of her own. She has this big nice amazing house, and she got it by exploiting these very young girls. I shouldn't give too much away, so if you don't want to know anymore then stop reading here...BUT she does say a big fat lie at the end.

I've always been interested in this "models-off-to-Japan" thing. As far as I can remember, even way back in high school with some of the girl models there, hearing them say they're off to Japan for the entire summer. I even know of one up-n-coming model going to Japan right now. Though, she's with a very good agency in London. But you do hear about this a lot. And this does really show how they take a 12-year-old girl and make her look like a sexy 25 year old. I dunno. It's very good. I think it's a great film if you have a daughter who is obsessed with model-dom.

Happy Easter! I wish I was little and could go East egg hunting! x♥
