♥♥♥ SATURDAY SHOPPING ♥♥♥ A STRAWBERRY THEMED THING ♥♥♥

I just noticed the other day that some of my new favorite things are all sort of strawberry colored or flavored or whatever. And I thought it would make for a cute post.

So below are some favorites and some new things and one was a gift...there's a phone case/bumper from Marc by Marc Jacobs (a gift this week from someone...I like it. Dunno if I would have bought it for myself. But I did need a new case and it is cute...and it is Marc, which I love love). Then some lip product and a nail polish that I am so loving. Such a perfect shade...

First up...the ROSEBUD STRAWBERRY LIP BALM AND MOISTURIZER. I have had this product for a long time. I didn't use it at all for so long. When I ran out of other lip balms that I use before I go to bed and leave on my bedside table, I pulled this out. It is very moisturizing. My lips feel good in the morning. I love the tin. But the product doesn't smell very nice and it kind of feels too artificial. I think I mostly love it for the tin. It also doesn't really have any color. It's okay. Next is a brand new product I picked up like yesterday to take with me when I run. It's KISS MY FACE STRAWBERRY LIP BALM WITH SPF 15. This smells like a strawberry heaven. Not too strong. Not artificial. It smells like really good strawberry bubblegum actually. It's so moisturizing. And it doesn't feel like Vaseline which I do not like (which the Rosebud is basically). I love all Kiss My Face products, though. It also protects my lips when I running in the sun. Next is a nail polish by SINFUL...it's actually called SINFUL SHINE and it's from their new jelly nail polish collection. The color is DEVIOUS. Because it's a jelly nail polish, it looks like cherry or strawberry candy. I think I wrote about this before. I really love this color and it stays on for a long time. I get a few little tiny chips at the very tip because I'm typing so much so often. But, other than that, it's the perfect strawberry summer sunny shade ever. LOVE. I love that bit of translucency in the finish. Last in this bunch is the KORRES WILD ROSE LIP BUTTER. I really love this color and the smell and the feel of it. I just don't like how messy the pot gets. But I love Korres and this lip product is gorgeous. It's more like a deep dark raspberry..but I thought I'd include it anyway.

Another mention I had to include even though it's been featured recently is the RMK BLUSH IN NATURAL ROSE which is coming out this month (I think it might already be out...see the post on the new RMK FALL COLLECTION here). This is TRUE strawberry and looks amazing on my cheeks. It is by far my favorite blush right now. I never thought I could actually love a powder blush so incredibly much! The brush that comes with it is pretty amazing, too...

Finally, I got a little surprise gift this week...and it's also very strawberry bunny...it's a Marc by Marc Jacobs IPhone case. I like it. It's fun. :) It's silly. but yeah, I guess it is a bit my personality, even though I tend to think of my personality as more black and navy. :)

So I hope you're having a great Saturday....I don't know what's in for me today. But I've been feeling really happy and romantic lately. I hope you guys are feeling that way, too, because it can't be beat. :) Happy Saturday! xxx

♥LOVING THIS TUTORIAL WITH ORANGE-Y COLORS AND STRAWBERRY HAIR♥

I really love this quick tutorial. Looks natural. Looks strawberry throughout (which I am obsessed with) and I also love this hair color, which I had and then the sun made my hair super super light blonde! If you understand Japanese, maybe you can translate some of it in the comments for us! xx♥

WEDNESDAY FUN ♥ MARC BY MARC JACOBS FALL 2013 AD CAMPAIGN ♥

Yes yes...I did a huge post on this Fall 2013 Marc by Marc Jacobs collection when it debuted and I love that the hair and the shoes and those great dresses are about to become available to all. I especially love the hair and shoes. You could wear any dress really with that hair and those shoes. I like that juxtaposition of super girly versus very androgynous vibe...pretty sweet. I'll be doing something like this look at some point. Maybe for a shoot. I also want to get a couple pairs of the heels. I love those. So much. I had to actually look at the models' names to find out if the androgynous looking ones were actually girls or boys. Looks like there is one boy after all.

The models are Giedre Kiaulenaite, Juliana Schurig and Philip Kesselev...Alister Mackie is the genius stylist behind this shoot and the hair all the models are wearing. Brilliant. So New York. So 1970's.♥

so androgynous!

so girly versus so androgynous.

i love that red/rust and wine color featured in this ad. I want that dress and the shoes the girl model is wearing.

MONDAY MAKEUP ♥ CLE DE PEAU WRINKLE CORRECTING SERUM REVIEW ♥

UM...yeah....this isn't going to be the longest review in the world, but you'll get why after you read it. On a recent business trip that was supposed to be around 3 hours and ended up being like 12 hours because of a missed connection, I needed something for my eyes...the skin around my eyes was so so so dry from the airport and lack of sleep and the flight itself. I normally take the right things with me onto the plane. But, for whatever reason, I had totally forgotten my regular supply of flight goodies. By the time I arrived, my face felt like I had been in a desert for three days. The next day, I made a trip to Nordstrom's (which I love and have always loved) to see what I could find. I had initially wanted to pick up an eye cream by Chantecaille that Rachel Anise (The Beauty Professor) always talks about. Somehow, though, I was hijacked by the Clé de Peau counter manager.

It initially started as a "let's do an eye treatment session for you" kind of thing. To my delight. It ended up being probably the only awkwardly bad trip I've ever made to Nordstrom's. If you're not familiar with the company, they are real sticklers for good customer service. And that always holds true. First of all, I wasn't shown anything from the Chantecaille line, even though that's what I went in there for. Second, albeit I have nothing against Clé de Peau and I think a lot of their products are amazing (including the packaging which is divine...DIVINE!)...I wasn't going to drop almost $1000 on a few products I didn't need. After the treatment and the explanations about the eye care and the eye makeup makeover if you want to call it that, I had dry skin under my eyes again because the counter manager thought it would be a good idea to put powder under my eyes. I don't even wear powder except on my nose and chin! There's more but I'll try to bring it back to the eye treatment serum

It felt cooling and great on the skin around my eyes. And I thought I'd get it. I didn't need the eye cream because I still wanted to get the Chantecaille stress repair one...much to the counter manager's dismay. He kept pressing me to buy more (not a Nordstrom thing) and then when I said I just wanted the serum (which isn't cheap at all at $150 a tube), he told me he was on commission...to my horror. I shouldn't have bought anything....but I just stayed polite and said I would be back for more.

The thing is, this serum did nothing for me at $150. I tried it for two weeks. Maybe it's just not for me. My eyes actually looked older and puffier. So I'm returning it. It feels good when your eyes are tired and dry. But for the price and the service I received, it's just not worth it for me to keep it. So I'm actually going to return it. I'll try some of the other Clé de Peau products next time. And I'll even try that Chantecaille eye cream I initially wanted to get. But this serum for wrinkles and stuff (I think it has a lot of good things in it like retinol and other things) just was not for me.

See more about it here. And again, I still love Nordies....but not that counter manager. Nope. ♥
