GIRL FRIDAY ♥ SOLANGE HOT LIPS RING

I have a hankering to morph into a new look with new hair and new clothes all in black (which I go through every so often...renouncing the colored bits of my wardrobe and rekindling my affair with the all black variety) and I am also craving new jewelry, of course. And every time I watch a Lisa Eldridge video where she's donning her giant enamel HOT LIPS ring, my heart pangs. I know there are knock-offs of this lovely ring designed by Solange Azagury-Partridge, but having the real thing would be really nice. It's only like...1000£! :) No, but seriously, it is gorgeous, comes in a load of colors and even a limited edition. Though I'm attracted to the lovely classic red one. She also has some other gorgeous gorgeous pieces (one of which I saw recently on Colette's site). If I can't get the real deal immediately, I'll be on the lookout for a really good copy.♡

You'll want to watch the below video from hairstylist guru James Pecis where he and his team fly from New York, after doing all the coolest shows there, straight into London and then Paris Fashion Week. It's def not boring AT ALL, and it's very very cool how you see so much creativity and indie fashion. There is some great editing, some lovely clothes,  awesome awesome awesome make up and just genius hair innovations. Really super cool at the end. And James is such a babe.♡

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ NINA DONIS SS 2012

Did you know that Fashion Week in Russia is a big deal over there? And that there are a load of new designers doing great things? One of the collections I really loved was from the Nina Donis Spring Summer 2012 show. I don't like the shoes/sandal things. But I love love the looks, silhouettes, which strike me as very Japanese and very feminine. I dunno. There's just something very soft and modern about these pieces that I see as being FRESH. Yes, I said FRESH, which is a terrible word, but it's concise and gets right to the point. Have a look and let's see what else happens with this designer, Nina Donis. I think big things.♡
