Oh how I want to be these girls in this magazine...to wake up every day and plop whatever prettiness is draped on the chair and look a little tired and disheveled and still put together. I think the reason why I love what Material Girl does is because it's accessible. It's not about uppity fashion or uppity makeup or overdoing it to look like someone else. It's about mismatched ends and split ends and a place where nothing matters but what you feel like doing and being. The below editorial is older, but I still love it nonetheless. I love the clothes and how they all look like bits and pieces you'd find at a thrift shop and the makeup looks like it's from last night. I have been out all day. So this is a little late, but it's up nonetheless! I have something super super fun coming up on tomorrow's or maybe Saturday's post! And then some AMAZING stuff next week. There's a lot to cover! 

But I had to do something about this gorgeous (yet another from those amazing kids over there...you know how hard it is to impress me...) at Pet Fan Club which is the blog for Indie and Material Girl magazines. ♥♥ I HEART MATERIAL GIRL MAGAZINE SUMMER 2013 EDITORIAL ♥♥

Oh how do I love thee, Material Girl magazine! I just noticed there's a new issue out...issue 22 Summer 2013...I cannot wait to get it. I wish I had every issue and I shall buy every issue that I do not own as soon as I move, whenever that is! 

But here it is. I'll get the details later. I honestly thought I had already done today's post, but then realized that I hadn't. So many cool things to post up soon...we have a record give-away coming up (listen to it on the sidebar! Especially "Emo Boy"! It rules!)...and I got another box today from a friend in New York with some amazing cosmetics from RMK and even Shu Uemura! I have stories for both brands on here coming up shortly and they're not just makeup reviews! They are pretty exclusive yummy bits that you'll love to see/read! But the makeup...let me tell you...I have one of the RMK nail polishes on right now and OMG I AM IN LOVE!!! (Thanks, Masayo!) I won't tell you anymore. You'll have to wait until the posts go up. The one about Shu Uemura is amazing, too! 

Okay...hope you enjoy this editorial as much as I do! I wish these magazines were out when I was 17! :) And PS...the post tomorrow might be later in the day...maybe not. But in case you don't see it straight away, it's because I had to take care of some things, I have a meeting (wish me more luck, please) and I'm returning a Clé de Peau serum I bought because IT DOES NOTHING. I'll exchange it for some other things. More on that later...

I just love Marie Zucker, the photographer. Every single editiorial I love from either Material Girl magazine or Lula or others I find seem to have been shot by her. I have her on my "would love to work with" list...and I know I will one day soon. Some photographers see something else than the rest of us and that's the way they shoot and edit their pictures...it's an extra talent. You can be a great fashion photographer, but not really have that edge...that edge is what makes this variety of photographer an artist. And Marie Zucker is definitely an artist and I love what she does with her palette.

♥ GIRL FRIDAY ♥ MATERIAL GIRL ISSUE 14 PRETTY PRETTY STORY ♥

I just had to post this editorial as well as another one for the Saturday post because they're both so gorgeous! I think I should pitch them. I've never properly pitched them before (as a writer/contributor), but I think I should. Because I just love love their magazine. I love Lula, too...but upon research I think Lula ripped Material Girl off right down to the tag line...(Material Girl's is "MY LUXURY DIARY" and Lula's is "GIRL OF MY DREAMS"...they're not the same, but they're the same vibe. I still love Lula, but I love love Material Girl magazine, too.

Anyway...here is a lovely story from an older issue. But no matter, it's still lovely as ever. I'll look for the credits and add them when I find them. I'll be posting up another story that's sort of mermaid-y (!) from the current issue. Stay tuned!♥
