FRIDAY FETE ♥ OPENING CEREMONY X TRON!

At first I thought some of the stuff they were merchandising for Tron would be really tasteless, but I actually think they did a  great job. I know Jerome C. Rousseau did some shoes which is cool. But these dresses are so adorable. Simple hair, lovely lipstick, some cute simple pumps and you'd be set. They'd be really cute for tonight, too. They're actually OPENING CEREMONY X DISNEY ... to mark THE RELEASE OF TRON. These are perforate polyester dresses and they're so dolly and future at the same time. Which is perfect. On February 3rd, Colette will unveil a whole slew of items inspired by the the new film. Too bad you can't actually wear it tonight, unless you're in Paris and can run over and buy one of these cute dresses. But you can order one and wear it for the new year! Have a great time tonight (or I hope you had or are having a great one!) and HAPPY NEW YEAR! ♡

SO CUTE.

I LOVE THE WHITE.
I LOVE THE BLACK, TOO.
SUCH A CUTE SHAPE.

SHOE ME THURSDAY ♥ PRADA PLATFORMS

My pick for shoes to wear on NYE are the SS 2011 Prada silver Mary Jane platforms...thing is, I'm not sure they're for sale yet. Which might make it hard to find them. :( But that would be a shame, as they'd be so fantastic with a little dress and sleek hair. Or big hair. They SCREAM celebration! I have no idea what I'm doing yet or where I'll be. But I've definitely been fantasizing and styling the outfits in prepartion. Anyway, if you can't find them for sale yet or land a sample pair somehow, then maybe you can use them as an influence and surely find something else just as festive and futuristic in a girly fun way.♡

SO INCREDIBLY GLAMROCK. I'D WEAR THESE WITH SO MANY THINGS. ESPECIALLY BELL-BOTTOM JEANS AND A TIGHT CANDY-STRIPED SHIRT.

WEDNESDAY BAG ♥ NEW YEAR'S EVE-N-DAY

I fell in love with two bags recently. One you might have heard of. Well, you might have seen both actually. The first is a clutch for you New Year's Eve-ning...everyone who reads my blog knows I like to have fun and fantasy, even if your makeup and outfit is a bit simple. This first item is the Fox clutch by Roger Vivier. Yes, it's definitely not for the meek. Well, meek and stylish perhaps. It's very pricey, around $5200(US). But I suppose that's what makes it even more exclusive. You KNOW not everyone is going to own this bit.

The second bag is sort of a day-after-welcome-in-the-new-year bag. It's a gorgeous gorgeous lady bag by Fendi. I love the old Fendi. And the new Fendi. (I just realized I have a lot of Fendi-ish posts this week...totally by accident!). This is the petite version, and then they have a larger one. I don't really care for bags that look like airplane carry-ons. What's the point? I think it actually looks ridiculous when someone is carrying a bag that huge on their wrists. But this one would make me feel like a 60s movie star from Italy. I know these are both sold out on Colette's site. I'm sure you can find them elsewhere, but you have to do a bit of digging.♡

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ RICHARD NICOLL ON NYE!

Hmmm...what to wear? There are some years when wearing something flash makes sense and feels right. And then there have been other years where putting on something more comfortable and simple has been the ticket. Especially if there was a lot of drinking involved. I think this year calls for something really fun. I've been trying to find a new designer who makes super girly things that I'll fancy, but I haven't found them yet. Or I've already featured them on Nancy Girl. Like Richard Nicoll  .  These pieces might be  happy medium between super fancy and super casual. You'll stand out and look chic, too. And fun. You might find it here or here or here or Colette might have restocked them by now, too. Really gorgeous.♡

IT'S A PRINTED DRESS...EVEN THOUGH IT CAN ALSO BE WORN AS A LONG TEE.
VERY FUNNY. HE DOES HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR.
I THINK IT WOULD BE MUCH CUTER WITHOUT THE BOTTOMS.
OR IF YOU PREFER THE TOP.
CHIC.

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ TATTOO BRITE

Ok...I wasn't going to post anything up until tomorrow or later, but I actually have something to share that you might want to pick up or order online if you are being lazy or hungover in front of your computer in your bunny slippers sipping your vanilla and cinnamon black tea (mmmmm! from Trader Joe's) with some Xmas cash in hand. Especially if you have a tattoo or two or three. One of the things I'm doing for myself for the new year is finally getting a new tattoo in honor of someone whom I lost a while ago and is very dear to me. I think I'm ready to get it now. This will only be tattoo number two...I'm not into covering my skin from head-to-toe in ink. And my other one I've had since I was like 18. So this product would definitely help it. It's called TATTOO BRITE and it has a patented formula they call InkBrite that sinks into the dermis and intensifies even the most faded of tatts. Plus, it's SPF 20, too. Pretty cool. And the packaging is pretty, too.♡

SHOE ME THURSDAY ♥ IT'S IN THE EYES...

These might be a bit odd, but I love the humor. And since I just did a post on the surreal collars by Delfina Delettrez (last name FENDI...of the Fendi's and all that goes with it) and the whimsical lips and skull button-links, I thought it appropriate to showcase the shoes, too. Non? These Giuseppe Zanotti X Delfina Delettrez heels are chic and gorgeous and the shape will really work with anything. But the EYES. Strange, surreal and maybe even a little weird. They still are pretty amazing. I think these are those kinds of shoes that once you put them on your feet, you see how cool they really are. So often we see shoes on a table or in an editorial like this and we can't even begin to know what the effect is when they're actually on. So, if you see them, try them on.♡

WEDNESDAY BAG ♥ MCQUEEN SKULL BOX

Listen up...this is the time of year that you should just go for the gusto and ask for the most amazing pieces you can possibly get, because these are the things dreams are made of. I know these aren't as new or fresh as some of the other bags I sometimes showcase. But they are gorgeous. And collectible. And of course you'd use them forever. And love them forever. The Alexander McQueen Skull Box Clutch is something everyone in love with fashion and the dark side should own. At around $1300, it's less than some paintings out there. Which would you rather have? Take your pick here .♡

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ DELFINA DELETTREZ

These are quite interesting and quite strong and fun at the same time. And, maybe even a bit Flashdance. Even though that wasn't really the designer's intentions. DELFINA DELETTREZ  (FENDI...yes...that's her last name! And how cool is that that she's created her own thing...) designed these collars and cuff links with strong women in mind. I think the pun I read about when referring to this collection was that it was called "WE-MAN" instead of women. Dunno. I don't go that far usually. But these are clever and gorgeous and smart. And yes....they are also sexy if you intend them to be. But they are a little more than a shirt...about $260 (US) just for the collar. But it is a cool piece for those of you who like the new fresh and different.♡

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ USLU AIRLINES X BERNHARD WILLHELM

What's a really kickass stocking stuffer or treat for someone you know who you like but don't or can't blow all your cash on? How about a nail polish from the collab between Bernhard Willhelm (whom we love at Nancy Girl) and Uslu Airlines who make some badass nail polishes that dry fast and stay on? Colette's site says they "fill grooves and smooth the surface". I think they're just really cool. I mean, if you got one even, it would be such a cool gift. They run about $29 each (US) and each color was named after an airport code. Rad. I only posted a few of the colors, but there are really a ton to choose from...from uber cool to uber crazy.♡
