♥ THE BEAUTY PROFESSOR'S HOT CLIMATE TUTORIAL ♥

I have all these other posts about new products and skincare I want to share with you...PLUS there is a lot of fun stuff happening (that I'll try to blog about this week)...but I had to share this brand new video Rachel Anise AKA THE BEAUTY PROFESSOR just posted up where she does her entire face from start to finish whilst on vacation in hot hot Tucson, Arizona (drier heat, but very hot weather nevertheless)...and it's pretty awesome. The video showcases some really yummy (in my book) product and she looks gorgeous. You will love it. I promise. If you haven't already, be sure to subscribe to her channel. I think it's def one of my all-time favorites on YouTube. (Plus she's a SoCal girl...REPRESENT!)  Her blog is also awesome and I love it. You won't be disappointed. :)

I have never seen this film, CANDY from 1968, and actually found it by accident. BUT IT LOOKS AMAZING! I'm going to watch it today. Just look at the girl and the cake and the other images. Pretty amazing. It stars the so so pretty Ewa Aulin, as well as Ringo Starr, Marlon Brando, Richard Burton and Anita Pallenberg is in it, too....I'm posting like 3 parts here and then you can watch all the parts here if you like the parts that you've seen on this blog. Warning...it's a crazy 60's sexual comedy...so I don't know how raunchy it actually is...but we'll see! Happy Sunday!

♥ SATURDAY SHOW ♥ ROCHAS RESORT 2014 DRESS DOWN/HIGH TOWN ♥

Marco Zanini is another one of those designers like Giles Deacon who has won my heart over and over again every season. I am a devotee of Rochas, for which he breathed life into, and I can't wait to see what else he'll do in the future. He just knows clothes and tailoring and he's so original. There's always this something I can't put my finger on that he sews into every piece. I love it. Even it's just an editorial piece. There's a sweater in this Resort 2014 collection (and those amazing clogs) and I will be treating myself to if I land (or WHEN I land) this new gig I'm waiting to hear about.

okay...you def can't be short and curvy to wear this. but it's good. esp if you're tall and thin.

gorgeous. and there's that sweatr/jumper i want so badly. and look at the clogs!

totally editorial. but amazing take on high fashion meets sportswear.

another mix of high fashion and sportswear. i'm so fancy that even when i dress down, i look high town. there's the sweater again. i love that polo, too.

another amazing outfit...if you're tall or have long legs.

i love love that sweater and those clogs!!!!!!

so chic...that's the italian from zanini that's showing in this look. look at those clogs in that color!

gorgeous editorial...the mix again.

chiiiiiiiiic

chic again. and so good for work.

♥ GIRL FRIDAY ♥ GILES DEACON RESORT 2014 ♥

I have to really say (again) that it is without a doubt that Giles Deacon is one of my super favorite designers and I so so so so look forward every collection to seeing what he'll unveil. The boy's got some style YO. I don't really care what anyone says...you see loads of people...the masses...loving the regular players. But it's the select few who will follow and wear and invest in anything Giles. Why hasn't someone given him one of the big houses to oversee yet? (Well, I mean aside from that Ungaro fiasco.) For the Resort 2014 collection, Giles has some pretty fun shots in the lookbook, some great textiles that remind me of 80's New York train graffiti (and the 80's in general) and this print that I'm guessing is either tennis balls (seeing that there are so many tennis dresses) OR macarons? :)

if i saw this girl somewhere, i'd think she was a cool girl who didn't give a F what anyone thought

cute cute tennis dress. cute pistachio color

such a great very new york print to me. looks like a gallery girl

i want this dress. :)

so girly and tongue in cheek this one.

i want this dress, too!

i want this, too! what a great summer vacation dress!!! with big hat or hair scarf and big glasses.

i want this dress, too!!

i would take the top alone. i'm petite enough that it would work as a dress on me.

♥ THURSDAY SHOE ♥ GIANVITO ROSSI LEOPARD PRINT PUMPS ♥

I think these Gianvito Rossi leopard print calf skin pumps are pretty damn perfect. I'd wear these to run around and probably with almost everything. They're probably super comfortable, too...and around $795 on net-a-porter.com

Maybe I'll pick them up as a treat if I land this new gig. Hmmmmmmmm....

♥ LOUIS VUITTON PRE-FALL 2014 COLLECTION LOOKBOOK + VIDEO ♥

I love this! Love love love love! I love the girls and the styling and the clothes and the accessories. Who wouldn't? I think that this is a new chapter in Louis Vuitton. I don't know why, but it's just how I feel.

I might have posted some of these before...I get so confused now with Pre-Fall and Resort...just call it transition, people! That's what it used to be called....! I thought it would be good to post some of the looks again so you don't have to go google them.

So so cute. I love it all.

So much to do and so much going on and it might get busier (hopefully) soon. So hang in there with me...it could really fun and different on here very very soon. :)

♥ RICKY'S NEW YORK "PAINTBRUSH" MAKEUP BRUSHES MINI REVIEW ♥

I just got a couple of cool Ricky's New York makeup brushes to review...and they look pretty cool. First of all, for those of you who know nothing about Ricky's New York, take note...it's a place you must visit when you got to New York. I mean, everyone wants to go to the famous New York spots, which is good. But then they go to...Sephora in Times Square???? GAG! I mean, go to the places that are inherently very very New York. The first time I went to New York was in the early 1990's...I was a teenager and it was my first time flying by myself. The East Village was still scary, Pat Field's and Trash and Vaudeville were king on St Mark's Place and I wasn't allowed to walk anywhere downtown alone. I remember Ricky's then like I remember all the Kim's Video shops (another sadly old memory of the old crazy radical Downtown New York). So, for me, whenever I hear the name or see the shop (Ricky's beauty shop), I feel a good real sense of New York City and how it was. They carry everything plus some.

So when I was asked to review these brushes, I was stoked! I hope they sell a ton of them. Now, I haven't used them yet. So this is just a quick intro. But I'll write something after I've used them after a bit. I only got two to use and one of them isn't a brush I typically use in my makeup routine. But I'm going to give it a go. In Ricky's New York playful fashion, they are called "paintbrushes" and they're colored by number, sort of. They look pretty nice (though I wish they were made in the USA and not China)...and they feel good, too. They're priced pretty well, too, methinks.

The first one I got is the FLAT PADDLE FOUNDATION BRUSH #31. I think it's synthetic, but I'm waiting for an email from the PR girl to let me know. OK...she just wrote back and they're both synthetic. But I have to say that they are well made enough that I wouldn't immediately know they weren't made with real hair! I'm actually a little surprised. That makes me like them even more.

The second brush they sent me is a teeny tiny ANGLED LINER BRUSH #14. But I'll probably use that for my eyebrows...it's a great brush. I haven't used it yet, but I love it so far. it looks perfect. Perfectly tiny and very stiff and I don't see any loose hairs. Which always makes an angled brush fail.

The FLAT PADDLE FOUNDATION BRUSH is $12 and the ANGLED LINER BRUSH is $10. Not bad.

More soon on these. You can look through all the Ricky's New York Paintbrushes here...they have a lot to choose from!

And def if you're visiting in NYC, don't just go to Sephora! Go to Ricky's.
