♥ SAT SHOPPING ♥ LOUIS VUITTON OPENS SKI CHALET SHOP ♥

 This is the kind of promotion I LOVE. This is the kind of thing I tend to work on when I'm working with big brands at the big agencies...Louis Vuitton has opened what they call a "winter resort" in Gstaad, Switzerland! GENIUS. We're talking the Swiss Alps, luxury hotels, one of the best ski resorts in the world and a lot of skiers (and snowboarders and loungers and chalet owners) with a lot of cash to spend. If you've ever been to a nice resort or any ski resort, you know there is ALWAYS a tendency to shop! Even those hardcore ski rats will check out the shops to see what they can score there that they can't find back at home. Louis Vuitton already has a shop their, which opened in 2004. But this is a great idea. This boutique is right there on the snow, just like a luxury chalet and it's also designed to be like a chalet. You literally ski to the front door. I LOVE IT! More brands need to have more fun and do lots of promotions (not solely focus on digitally soul-less stuff) like this where people become a living part of the brand's life and experience. THAT'S what creates life-long devoted customers. Not Facebook. (I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the video below promoting/announcing the boutique.)♡

♥ GIRL FRIDAY ♥ A NIGHT IN PARIS FOR FASHION GONE ROGUE ♥

I know I just did a post on a campaign, and a lot of you might have already seen this shoot on Fashion Gone Rogue. But I just love it. Most of the time I tend to think the FGR shoots are a bit amateur? Maybe that's not the right word. But you have to remember the publications I came from...Dazed, Tokion...and Oyster, which was the epitome of sexiness (thanks in a huge way to the then-editor-in-chief and my boss Brianna Ragel...I'll have to do a post on some of my favorite covers or shoots from the mag when I was an editor). I could see the below shoot, titled A NIGHT IN PARIS, in Oyster. I love the styling and I love that hair color (I am about 2 shades darker right now...but I wish I was that color right now!). (I'm also posting this as one of my New Year's goals is to get to Paris...for a long sojourn or to move permanently!)♡

THURSDAY SHOW ♥ DIOR'S SPRING 2013 CAMPAIGN...♥

I guess I like this new Dior Spring 2013 Campaign. It's the first real real Raf-inspired campaign full force that I've noticed. It looks like him. But it also looks very Dior to me. There's something very black and white and powdery here to me, and that's a very Dior thing. When I started wearing expensive perfumes, probably in junior high, my first ones were Miss Dior and Diorissimo, which I think they don't make anymore...at least in the States (oh wait...they still do!). I don't know. Bit of a ramble. I guess check out this campaign and see if you like it yourself. It will probably look great in a giant magazine as  spread. But I don't think I like it more than the Louis Vuitton ads. (Or the Galliano-Dior ads.) Read more about it here.♡

♥ OI VEY! WE'RE BACK......WITH UPDATES AND SOME NEWS ♥

I have some good stuff to post up here...had planned on doing so this morning, but then I forgot I had an appointment and going and coming took 3 hours! So I'll just share this with you for now (though if you are following on twitter, then you've already seen it!)...it's a little interview I did on Searching for Style. I don't have a clue why the image of me is SO HUGE...it's unreal! Don't be scared! :)
