SHOE ME THURSDAY ♥ MARCHESA F/W 2011

I don't usually feature Marchesa on NANCY GIRL. And I've never written about or used Marchesa to style anyone or any shoots in the past. It's been really fan-cy and very foo-fee to me. Albeit beautiful. But the Marchesa's Fall 2011 collection was very young and styled fun, and very very Rock-n-Roll. I especially love all the pouts of contempt on the girls. :) There was a bit of everything in here, too....a little McQueen (which we see EVERYWHERE) and a bit of Céline. So I didn't want to show too much. I think the pieces work with NG, though. And don't forget to notice the shoes. I love the simplicity of the shoes....especially the ones with sheer toes...and the black lace calf-highs.♡

does this look like marchesa? so cute and young and pouty.
so sixties. and look at her pigeon toe.
just gorgeous. esp the calf stockings (?) and the shoes in black.
kind of a babydoll. and look at her bare face and hair. perfect.
i love the stance here with this dress. it says so much more than a normal model would.
white bride (or is it meant to be spanish?)
black bride (or is it meant to be spanish again?)
a little McQueen, but still so pretty and rocker girl.

WEDNESDAY WONDER ♥ MARC JACOBS

I know covering Marc Jacobs is sort of redundant as everyone in the world covers MJ. But I just love love his work, as we all do. Or, most of us do. And so, at the very least, I could put the Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 show up. It was amazing gorgeous amazing gorgeous. Just watch and see how many people knock off those amazing berets! I would so love to live in a time when the girls strutted around in metallic pencil skirts with polka-dot berets and slick driving gloves. :) I absolutely love the simple make up here, too. Plz, MJ....do a cosmetic line for us girly girls! I can't wait to see this collection LIVE in the boutiques! Watching this show was just...amazing. (I especially love all the bellhop looks.)♡

(If you didn't know, Marc Jacobs is a huge fan of artist Yayoi Kusama...and so am I.)

TUESDAY TAILOR ♥ IVANA HELSINKI F/W 2011

YEA! I'm always so thrilled to see the new Ivana Helsinki collection! The show isn't until the 17th, but the darlings over there were so dear to send me the images a bit early. And I LOVE them! The Ivana Helsinki Fall/Winter 2011 collection is titles Velvet Lake, and it suits the pieces. I love how they always have a story and the images play the story out for us. I'm also loving all the up-do's  that sort of look like a Gibson Girl. It's, per usual, romantic and dark. The girls who wear Ivana Helsinki are sweet and dangerous...they'd dare you is what I'm saying. And I love that Finnish vibe.  I hope they have a great show and I can't wait to attend some of their future events this year!♡

MAKEUP MONDAY ♥ "ERIN" HAIR & MAKEUP

Apparently Erin Fetherston's namesake line is no more and now she has a lower-budget line simply called "ERIN"....? I don't really get it. But maybe that other line tanked in profits and this was a more easy way to make some cash. Dunno. But the Fall 2011 ERIN collection sure had some lovely hair and makeup. I did like some of the looks, not all of them...but a few of them. But it was gorgeous to look at mainly because of all the blush colors and the gorgeous braided halo, which I love love, and the clean clean face. You have to admit that most of the admits would be incredibly boring if the girl wasn't so stylee. It's the hair and makeup, especially the bare brow, that bring it to another level. Oh...I forgot to mention that all of the pieces from the new ERIN range will be less than $600.♡

so pretty. i know this is prob a hair piece on a girl with short hair, but it's still gorgeous.
fresh angelic but still cool for fall (cool as in cold)
i love this look...a bit of peachy pink blush...bare brows...light lips.
so fresh
simple and pretty and who wouldn't love that sweater jacket/cape/thing?
i love this minus the necklace. i mean she has enough going on with her hair. i have a vintage 60s piece that's exactly like this dress minus the sleeves. i'll post it up later today if i can get a good enough photo.
really wearable and gorgeous.
so silent star. love it.
